SUSkinsFan
do players in the nfl wear contact lense when playing a game? I think they do. There was a defensive player a couple years ago (I can't remember who), that said he kept spare contact lenses on the sidelines because he would knock them out a couple times a game

Coach Williams
I wore my glasses....lol......I strapped them down with a bandanna and PRAYED the refs never caught me with "metal" equipment.....
Skins247
Alot of players with vision problems use prescription visors. Some use contacts aswell. It's amazing to me that there are still players out there that haven't had the laser surgery. I had it done a long time ago and it was one of the best things I've ever done. It used to drive me nuts when I played basketball and one would dry up on me real bad. Or worse, pop out.
Reic
I just play sports without my glasses, it isn't hard to see a big brown ball flying through the air at you, blurry or not.

They may not be good candidates for it. I know that my doctor told me with the technology as it is now I'm not a good candidate because my pupils are usually pretty dialated. B&GPride44
I played with contacts...You do lose them more than you'd like, but it beats running around out there blind. I probably lost 4 or 5 pair while playing. Always had a spare on the sideline!

But not doing it because you are scared is just dumb.
praise_gibbs
Many players do wear contacts. In fact, a couple of Eagle players wear color contacts, red to be exact, to block the sun glare. So, they wear them not just for vision but, for blocking sun glare as well.
Coach Williams
Weren't you ever afraid of the lens breaking and going into your eye? Not really.....my facemask stopped 99.9% of hands and the glasses stopped grass and fingers....lol.... It did suck BAD though when I made a hit and they nearly flew off......
