Kindred
Truely hope ST recovers ok. It does leave me with some questions though.. Is something like this a season ending injury? What are the short term/long term recovery options for this sortof wound?

WVUforREDSKINS
No doubt it is season ending. They are saying he might not have a fully functional brain due to massive blood loss
EnFoRcEr_uPu
Short term or long term, nobody really knows. I can tell you that the best case scenario is he makes a full recovery and rehabs for a while to try and get back into football. Worse case scenario is he has brain damage and cannot only never play football again, but maybe never lead a normal life again.
Bacon
Well, it's not so much the wound anymore (I think he could come back from that by next year, with some rehab), but the brain damage from the blood loss that I'm worried about. That would finish off his career.

Troy Fakeman
Umm... JLC has "brain injury" or "death" as possible outcomes from this tragedy... Taylor is my boy - I hope he can simply get back to being a father...before anything else.
Ellis
I hope to God that upon his recovery, he moves his family away from Miami.
Truant
I can't believe this is a real thread. Maybe we can wait till the end of the day to see if he's still alive before we start asking these questions?

I think worse case is that he doesn't make it out of this alive I just wish that he can make it out of this with his life... football should not be on anyone's mind untill we can verify that he'll make a recovery. jrockster21
Jesus dude...he is fighting for his life right now and you are concerned about this being season ending?? This could be FOREVER ending. Just hope that Sean Taylor the father, son and brother makes it out of this ALIVE, so that he continue being a family man. arkowi
I would say right now just hope and pray the guy survives. Secondly, hope and pray that he does not suffer any mental/brain damage. Third, see if he ever plays football again. Fourth, after all that worry about when that will happen.
bigswanny
Who cares about football I just hope he comes out of this and has the ability to function as a father.
