Sign him for a crazy deal with escalators. Pay him 400,000 (prorated for this year) and 400,000 for the next two years after that with doubling escalators if he is on the field for 60% of the plays and doubling escalators for 5 TDs and tripling for 10 or more. Give him 1 million/year in years 4 and 5 with the same escalators. Also give him a whopping one million dollar signing bonus (extended over 5 years...200,000/cap hit). We may be his best option and this will give us two years to get him into football shape again.

See this guy here? His name is Cody Boyd. He's listed at 6' 8", 264 and currently on OUR practice squad. If height were the only redeeming issue, don't you think he'd be playing?

Who knows, maybe he's really tall but has short arms...

Now having said that, echoing what TRIO said, MWilliams has exactly 5 more catches and 76 total yards than our own BLloyd. What can a tryout hurt?

Are you kidding me? We have the best WR corp in the NFL, you'll see this week, or at the very least the following week but just in case that doesn't workout we shouldn't rule anyone or thing out.

Dude cmon thats the most homer thing you could possibly say given they have a combined 0 touchdowns....anyways Mike Williams definately would not hurt being 6'5 and a great red zone target for JC

There is a difference between going on pure height, and mixing it with potential from just 3 years ago. Come on now.

Not only NO but HECK NO! Originally went to Florida but was told he couldn't play WR. Left USC early to enter draft but was ineligible and couldn't return to college football. Drafted by the Lions 10th overall, this guy couldn't stay on the Lions roster. He then went into seclusion and was brought back by a former USC coach, Lane Kiffin, to the Raiders. As bad as the Raiders need a WR, he didn't make it. What part of bust doesn't anyone undertand?

Damn it people... not another cut player we think we can "fix"

He got cut cause he sucks... end of story.

NO WE DON'T WANT HIM

truth.

there's a reason he's been cut. he wasn't even hurt, he never showed a NFL level work ethic. he would may play on special teams for us, thats about it.

Not that this guy is Randy Moss.

But in Oakland over 2 years. Moss TOTALED 82 Catches and 11 TD's.

In New England he already has 47 catches and 11 TD's.

Again, he's NOT Randy Moss.

But could it be that Oakland and Detroit are just BAD teams? He's young, he's tall, he's probably cheap.

I like the way you think Bufford!
