tryfuhl
because someday, JUST SOME DAY, theyre gonna throw him a touchdown pass. And then we'll just get a bunch of Pucillo > Lloyd threads
wysknz1
I think it would be cool to be able to do the old scoolyard play "FIRE ALARM" everyone takes off and goes deep. Those linemen would die if they had to do that a few times a game. A team should be able to use that at least once during a game.
CustomApparelDirect
I think the rule is you can only have 6 guys on the line of scrimmage. Only 5 can be linemen. So he lines up slightly behind the line, therfore making him an eligible reciever. I think thats the rule. Anyone know if thats right? No, My Friend. 7 Men MUST Line-Up on the Line-of-Scrimmage. CustomApparelDirect
Nace14's reply came the closest to the mark. From the NFL's Digest of Rules: "Eligible receivers on the offensive team are players on either end of line (other than center, guard, or tackle) or players at least one yard behind the line at the snap." And, the offense must have seven players on the line. WRs on the TE's side of the field must be back one yard from the line in order to "uncover" the TE and make him an eligible receiver. Cs, Gs, and Ts (presumably, so designated by #, as some have pointed out) must report to the officials before they become eligible. The official then notifies the D's capt., so as not to give the O a big competitive advantage. That is, if you consider having Pucillo catching passes a big advantage... It'd be an 'advantage' - if Pucillo can 'run-after-the-catch like Sellers'!!!
Veretax
I thought he had to report if he's an extra guy on the line purely because of jersey number
The Brave Little Toaster Oven
Last game I clearly saw him running a route  I think Campbell was looking for him too, but then he threw it to Sellers for a 2 yd gain
sikizler
And then we'll just get a bunch of Pucillo > Lloyd threads  Man, I didn't think it was possible for BLloyd to be any more of an embarassment but if a lineman has more TDs than him, that would do it. Blondie
because someday, JUST SOME DAY, theyre gonna throw him a touchdown pass.
