mcarey032
I thought that the Linebacking corps was awesome! Our corners could use some help. They made some good plays and then they made some not so good plays. It appeared to me that Springs was being used in Nickel situations vs. being out there on first and second down. I guess I wasn't watching Springs as closely. At any rate, good team effort all around. Special teams, offense, and especially the defense. testrake
Give a game ball to the o-line. Jansen goes down early and plug in Heyer and never miss a beat. A few more games like this from ARE and I will have to change my opinion of him and admit that he is an actual NFL #2 receiver and not just the slot guy. I agree with a previous poster, Fletcher may be the unsung hero on defense for making sure we had the right checks and not getting caught with our pants down as often as we did last year. onnie007
Toss up between Randle El and Portis/Betts. I agree. CP was my player of the game given his performance despite not playing in any preseason games.
StillUnknown
Portis not only because of his running, but because of his blocking on pass plays

craig g
If RB Duo is an option, then LB duo should be too...McIntosh and Fletcher were machines out there today. Hail!

Yeah they were. I will agree with you on that. I think between the two they had like 19 tackles and one sack. Not bad.
ChampSkinsFanatic
I voted Randle El right after the game, but right now I think it was Portis.
RonBurgundy&Gold
I could see giving this to Portis being that if he doesnt make that scamper for a score, we'd be weeping at 0-1 right now. That was the most valuable play of the game. However Randle El made the big catch that got us to that point plus several other key grabs.
SkinsWizCubsDukes
R. McIntosh...2nd on team in tackles, FF, sack. C. Portis...only offensive TD, 90+yrds, set up game winning FG.
RenegadeTK
i give it to suisham we know all too well how it is to NOT have a pressure kick to depend on..... its good to finally have one
mi6
My vote would be to the O-Line, specifically Stephon Heyer. He was an undrafted rookie making his NFL debut under trying circumstances, and did exceptionally well.
RIDETHEWALRUS
London Fletcher-Baker. The man was flawless running our D and was absolutely everywhere. Had 10 tackles and 2 assists. Pure beast today.
schwillyskins
Heyer was the player of the game. He did a good job replacing Jansen when he wnt down.
turbodiesel#44
I think Frost should get an honorable mention. That 64 yard punt with a 10 yard penalty tacked on destroyed the fins field position and could have been the difference.
Bacon
The O-line deserves major props. They gave JC enough time to write a novel. Against a fantastic Dolphins' front four, I might add. Anyway, I give the game ball to Portis and Betts. ARE made some fantastic plays, but the running game kept us ahead.
GrimReefa
Randle El, obviously, has to be mentioned in this discussion. And you can say the Hail Mary reception was stat padding, but do you think any other receiver out there would have made that catch? Suisham was terriffic. I was petrified about our kicking situation heading into this year, but he seems to be the real deal. And what a beauty of a kick that last one was. I was watching it on a huge projection screen at a bar up here, and it was an awesome sight. Frost came though big-time, as well. I thought he had an outing that really showed why we've held onto him for so long. If he can string a few of these performances together, he may turn the corner and become an elite NFL punter. Portis and Betts, but especially Portis. And especially as the game wore on. By OT, there was no stopping our running game. Hats off to the offensive coaching staff. They faced some serious adversity early on in this game, but came through with an attack good enough to win a hard-fought, defensive struggle. And the defense looked great. Carter's sack and McIntosh's FF were the two most encouraging things I saw all day.

G1
Rocky McIntosh. He was eerywhere the ball was and he got there damn quick. 9 tackles, 1 sack and 1FF. When Washington gets healthy I really like our LB corps. Major upgrade. Honorable mentions to ARE, Portis and the O Line.
