Some of you are ridiculous. Whether Dan does it the right way or not, he's paying ALOT of money to put a competitive product out on the field. It's not his fault that the guys we sign aren't winning games for our "rabid fan base". It's the players and the coaches, throughout his tenure, that aren't winning the games on the field. We win the offseason alot, and that's where Snyder spends his money.

If anything, the blame for losses on the field go to our GM, or lack thereof.

The success or failure of any organization speaks of top management and the players and coaches they assemble. And the decision to hire a GM or not is whose exactly?

The organization's. Not necessarily just Snyder's. My only beef with Snyder is that he needs to fire Cerrato.

A little high for a guy who hasnt been around very long and hasnt won much.

Well the team has been a play away from the NFC championship twice in his first 6 years here. How many other new owners can say that? <--- serious question. How long is it usually before a new owners first Superbowl? Playoff appearence?

why does the media have a fetish with the patriots. jeez, talk about over emphasizing an off-season free agent spree when it has yet to prove anything.

"Kraft's reaction? The Pats went out and beefed up their roster with one of the most aggressive and productive offseasons in NFL history, including a marquee signing (do-everything linebacker Adalius Thomas) and the acquisition of four receivers capable of having a big impact: Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker and Kelley Washington. Best of all, New England pulled it off without screwing up its cap-savvy salary structure -- and somehow came away with an extra first-round pick in the '08 draft."

a break, one of the best off-seasons in NFL History? lay off the coke

Agreed....one of the most productive offseasons? Get the @$^* outta here. You cant say that without results to prove it. And how can you have results without HAVING EVEN PLAYED A SINGLE GAME YET!! Now if it was the Skins with the same signings, it would be more like "Randy Moss is a cancer...there goes Danny-Boy again!!"

Snyder will NEVER fire Cerrato!! He has kept Vinny around as a lapdog and because he tells Danny what he wants to hear...plus he has to get Danny's coffee in the morning. Why else would Snyder bring Cerrato back the year after Marty Schottenheimer had so wisely fired him? Obviously Schottzy knew that Cerrato was useless.

This whole topic was covered before, and I still disagree that Snyder should be #5...or #15. He shouldn't be in the top 20 at all. I'm TIRED of people commenting that he's a good owner because he's willing to spend money for the team.

Snyder and co. have gutted this team with their addiction to high-priced free agents and ignoring the draft, which is how real champions are made. Sure, go get a free agent once in a while to fill needs, but this team uses it as their PRIMARY staffing strategy. You don't breed loyalty with free agents, and giving them the $$$ they want sometimes is counter-productive. Some players relax and don't play as hard once they finally get a good paycheck.

The Redskins are the most profitable NFL team...off the field. Snyder rakes in the cash on jersey sales, $10 beers, and huge parking fees at Fed Ex. He may be a business genius, but it doesn't translate into winning on the field, does it?

And another thing...I don't want any responses to my last thread claiming that "at least Snyder isn't Bill Bidwill." No kidding. Why should ANYONE get any credit for not being a cheapskate like Bidwill? Bidwill is in a class all by himself, and always has been...comparing Snyder to him in a favorable light is like comparing Hugo Chavez to Adolf Hitler, and it's really "damning with faint praise."
