CBass1724
Ok, I think most of us agree that we need to draft a defensive lineman with our pick. I would prefer a defensive end myself, as do a lot of you. With that being said: Do you guys really think GregG(enius) Williams will actually start a rookie at defensive end on game 1? I think it's a no brainer with the guys who are available at that position that whomever they draft will be a significant upgrade over Daniels and Wynn. If the Skins do draft DE I think GW should pencil that guy in as starter from day 1. I'm tired of this no starting rookies crap. I agree the job should be earned somewhat, but these guys need to be thrown into the fire.
Mr. S
he had no trouble starting Kedric Golston in game one. I guess it depends on the player and who we currently have available.
Grimm
I think if its a Defensive Lineman he will start or play alot in a rotation, there is less to learn as a D-Lineman than a linebacker or cornerback, but of course it will depend on how they preform in the Pre-season/practice. CBass1724
I just thought Sean Taylor should have started as well as Rocky. I agree they are more complex positions. I didn't think Kedric started until all the injuries came in? His hand was forced to start him and play him a lot when Salavea went down.
Thirtyfive2seven
Kedric did not play until we started losing DT's due to injury. You are correct. He played him because he had to.
CooleyKnight
They will start a rookie DE, especially if we spend the #6 pick on them. And if not, he would see just as much time as Daniels or Wynn.
drowland
GW had Jevon Kearse as a rookie. Not sure when he became a starter, but he had 14.5 sacks that year. They rotate the D-lineman so if they take one at #6 (Branch or Gaines) they'll get into the game quiet a bit.
