SmootDawg21
What do you all make of this? Is this a result of D Green's performance so far? Redskins | Harrison to Visit - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com) 12:16 PT: Free agent CB Lloyd Harrison (Chargers/Dolphins) will be working out for the Washington Redskins on Tuesday
Zen-like Todd
YES! For those of you with short memories, Lloyd Harrison was our 3rd round pick a few years ago. He didn't even make the roster. Pretty soon, we'll bring back Husak, Mookie More, and Mario Monds. What do you all make of this? Is this a result of D Green's performance so far? If I had to guess, it has nothing to do with D. Green whatsoever. Harrison is a safety (edit), or at least we had him at FS, if I remember correctly. This either means Andre Lott is a total bust, or Mike Stock really needs someone on the roster who is a decent special-teamer.

OaktonSkins/BushFan
He could be a good replacement for Terrell, which isn't saying much.
DeathByLinebacker
It seems like we've had alot of defensive backs in to work out since the season started. Actually, I think we've had alot of players in to work out period. Only Tre has been signed to my knowledge.

Murilo Bustamante
Umm...Harrison is a VERY fast guy. We could use a little speed on our special teams and maybe at safety. And I would like Moore and Monds (Schotty pick) back. You can't tell me Moore would be worse than Loverne.
redman
I'm with Bufford. I had no problem with the guy for added depth purposes. And yes, he's either a FS or a special teamer for us.
Zen-like Todd
He could be a good replacement for Terrell, which isn't saying much. Oh come on. He had his first knockout shot last night? You've gotta cut him a *little* slack.
riggins44
My gut tells me this is for special teams. I held my breath every kickoff and punt. I would give kudos to Ladell Betts for some decent returns.
NavyDave
Another grass is greener from somebody else's garbage heap I see. Then again getting a jump on finding D Green's replacement isnt a bad idea and it could be that Bauman sucks and is too tiny to make a difference
Zen-like Todd
I would give kudos to Ladell Betts for some decent returns. Seriously... who did Ladell remind you of as a kick returner? I'm curious to see if anyone had the same thought I did.
Art
Harrison is the latest in a string of secondary players brought in. The team is looking to improve on special teams. If Harrison can run real fast, real straight and avoid a block or two, sign him. We had three or four secondary people in last week but you guys didn't pick up on the names -- though at least one has some history in the league -- because it's inconsequential and normal. This just happens to be a name that we recognize is all. As for Betts, he looked a hair like Mitchell, except Mitchell would have run over the kicker and ended the drama of the chase
Hersh
Harrison is a corner and was cut because Marty wanted to keep his boy Greer. At the time most people on this board thought that was a mistake by Marty. He's worth a look because he could be the 3rd or 4th corner next year when the great one has retired. Dirk Diggler
Who's next - Darryl Pounds ??? No but seriously, if he's here to improve Special Teams - I'm all for it. Even as the 5th CB who only gets in the game when we're up 30 or down 30.
Zen-like Todd
As for Betts, he looked a hair like Mitchell, except Mitchell would have run over the kicker and ended the drama of the chase True enough, but there were definitely some similarities in running style, and in his willingness/aptitude to wait for/find his blockers. Guest Trevor
Did we ever fill the practice squad spot that opened when the Bengals signed Coleman? I thought I read at the time that we would be looking at defensive back to fill that open spot.
