dream Skins' line?

You know, I can dream, maybe, just maybe, this line would work and could happen...

LT Chris Samuels

LG Tre Johnson

C Larry Moore (he's not playing badly)

RG Aaron Gibson

RT Jon Jansen

Talk about the Hogs!!!! Of course, this all depends on Gibson and Johnson actually being able to play...but imagine S. Davis behind that line!!!

Gibson's ability to pass block would make him a better fit on the left side than the right, in that he comes from tackle stock. But, a dream line isn't one we can put together this year under any circumstances. Add Mo Collins in the offseason and get Jones back healthy, and suddenly you have a pretty deep and pretty good front. Add Collins and Taucher and no one in the league would have as good a line starting or in terms of depth.

But any dream line would require that Chris Samuels play like Chris Samuels and not Andre Johnson.

AP-OT Gibson fails Redskins physical

Team Trainers made 410 lb. Offensive Lineman Aaron Gibson undergo a somewhat unorthodox and highly controversial procedure for his physical yesterday at Redskins Park. They drew a number on upper toe section of his left sneaker, then asked the free agent lineman to identify the number.

Gibson, who reportedly has not seen his own feet for several years (and who has spent a small fortune on short mirrors to re-affirm his believe in their existence), was unable to lift his left leg high enough to see the number 5 scrawled on his toe. Team trainers even tried to give him the benefit of the doubt by displaying picture of a fire hydrant in futile hopes that Gibson's reflexes to such imagery might get him to lift the leg a little higher, but it was to no avail.

"If he's to fat to see his own feet, I guess he can't compete," Gibson's agent Lonnie Cochran conceded.

Murilo,

That he was a tackle in college is nice, but, it's not all that impressive in the scheme of things. He played at a school that runs all the damn time. He was basically a guard on the outside just plowing folks. Now, Gibson was a high draft pick because the tools he showed excited people. He is young, large, and some even say athletic.

He's a sorry pro. Is he worth a look? Sure. He shouldn't be counted on as anything but a project. Any actual production he provides anyone would be considered an immense surprise almost as big as Gibson himself :).
