The skins are trying to renew his contract but he is balking. We trade so many mid round picks, I could see us moving Betts if both Duckett and Jesse run well in these last two games. Kevin Simon has been inured too and he probably won't make the team as a result. The hip flexor has certainly set Lumsden back -- and could kill his chances. He def a candidate for IR or practice squad. His job is to make th decision tough for the coaches by showing well in these last two preseason games. This probably means that two or possibly three running backs/fullbacks from among Nehemiah Broughton, Manuel White Jr., Jesse Lumsden, A.J. Harris and Jonathan Combs will be released by this coming Tuesday. Tomorrow night's pre-season game against the Patriots is therefore huge for these five players. The survivors will get one more pre-season game to challenge for a spot on the Redskins' practice roster and one of them might even make the active roster after the final cutdown date on September 2/06.
