[[ghost]]
after reading several mock drafts, what about a rookie to replace lavar? i was thinking d'qwell jackson. he's a maryland boy, but he sounds rather nice. any replacements welcome.
CPstretch
d'qwell would be an excellent addition to the skins. he can play both MLB and OLB and would definitely be a solid pickup. i dont know that he will be available when we get to our pick. VAsBeachBoy
no way d'qwell will be the second or third LB taken and certainly the first MLB taken. He ain't making it past the first, but I would however love to get him we just have to trade up with ramsey and maybe a fourth during the draft.. Who knows thought.. He's a beast
FootballGuy2677
Thomas Howard and Ernie Sims would be nice picks. But my favorite one would be Roger McIntosh from Miami.
CRobi21
I like D'Qwell a lot.
N-rec37
the first MLB taken? hmm, so is Freddie Roach a OLB, same for Demeco Ryans, A.J. Hawk (could move into MLB, Chad Greenway, Anthony Schliegel, A.J. Nicolson...hmm, I guess you're right...but there are a lot of LBs in FA, there's always a chance to get D'Qwell...when I played Madden, I always got him...was a good player when I saw him at Maryland. who knows what will happen at any time... Cskin
I don't think we'll be targeting any one player in the draft or position. I think Gibbs/Cerrato's philosophy is to fill needs in free agency and go "best player available" in the draft. Had we not lost Smoot to FA and have such a big need for corner opposite Springs, given Springs' injury history, I don't think we would have drafted Rogers. On the other hand... maybe Rogers was rated that highly as a BPA as well as a need. Don't be suprised if we get to the 2nd round and take a position you don't believe we need.... but happens to be a good athlete. Corner perhaps... or RB. roadkill
IMO LB is not a top prority and if we managed to get a late first round draft pick we will pick up a WR (Chad Jackson, Santonio Holmes), TE (Marcedes Lewis, Leonard Pope, or dominique Byrd), DE (Darryl Tapp, Victor Adenyanju), or CB/SS (Cedric Griffin, Ko Simpson). We should just insert McCune or Clemons as a LB.
greenhunter7
I think AJ Nicholson would be a good talent in the 3rd or 4th round but he had some off the field issues towards the Orange bowl so I dont know if he would be a good fit or not. but he is a NC product so Im all for it. Slateman
Really depends on what we do in free agency. I think the Skins will be ok at linebacker with their present players, however, it never hurts to get an extra one (as the Giants can attest to)

SkinsNorth
If he is around when teh skins pick D'Qwell would be a nice pick. He is versatile to play MLB or WLB, so he would give the skins even more options at the LB spot. Proble is, I doubt he lasts until the skins pick in the 2nd. TaylorPickSix
if we draft a LB I would like Abdul Hodge from Iowa. He's sick nasty. I would rather prefer we sign a LB (see sig) and draft Maurice Stovall.
jawa
As much as I like Maurice Stovall if Dquell Jackson falls to us we must take him. He'd be a for sure bpa and he's also a position of need.
REDSKINS STOMP
Abdul Hodge of Iowa reminds me of Al Wilson. Kind of small, but plays big, real big. He is MLB material IMO, and to be honest, I would like to keep Lemar Marshall where he is.
BayouBrave86
Ernie Sims is basically a smaller Lavar Arrington who can't tackle as well. No thanks.
