1st Choice

Antwaan Randle El #82

Height: 5-10

Weight: 192 lbs. Age: 26

Pos: WR

Experience: 4 years

College: Indiana

Drafted: Year:2002 Round:2 Pick:30, Steelers

Due to Randle El’s Versitility I feel he will be the best pick-up as a #2 WR and a return specialist. He will give the Redskins an added dimension in the passing game and the running game. His 15.9 avg yds per reception in the highest of this group.

REC 35 | YDS 558 | TD 1

SPLIT REC YDS AVG LNG TD

2005 35 558 15.9 63 1

2nd Choice

David Lamar Givens #87

Height: 6-0

Weight: 215 lbs. Age: 25

Pos: WR

Experience: 4 years

College: Notre Dame

Drafted: Year:2002 Round:7 Pick:42, Patriots

Givens size and production in an offense that is a collaboration of very good players, is impressive. I would venture to say that he is probably the best Receiver the Patriots have. I think he will be very productive opposite Moss. If you add Patten to the mix I think all three would thrive the way the “POSSE” did in the 80’s.

REC 59 | YDS 738 | TD 2

SPLIT REC YDS AVG LNG TD

2005 59 738 12.5 40 2

3rd Choice

Kevin Devon Curtis #83

Height: 5-11

Weight: 186 lbs. Age: 27

Pos: WR

Experience: 3 years

College: Utah State

Drafted: Year:2003 Round:3 Pick:10, Rams

Curtis had the most production out of these WR’s . He also played in a system that was full of options for him to pull down 60 receptions when he plays opposite Holt & Bruce is a feat in itself. He too has the ability to stretch the field as well as playing a possession role. He could see some action in the return game as well.

REC 60 | YDS 801 | TD 6

SPLIT REC YDS AVG LNG TD

2005 60 801 13.4 83 6

4th Choice

Koren Robinson #18

Height: 6-1

Weight: 205 lbs. Age: 25

Pos: WR

Experience: 5 years

College: North Carolina State

Drafted: Year:2001 Round:1 Pick:9, Seahawks

Robinson could be the best of this bunch if it wasn’t for the possible baggage. From all accounts in Minnesota he was a great teammate and seamed to get his life back on track. He has the best combination of size and speed of this bunch, and probably the most upside. Oh and did I mention he is going to the Pro bowl as a returner.

REC 22 | YDS 347 | TD 1

SPLIT REC YDS AVG LNG TD

2005 22 347 15.8 80 1

5th Choice

Joe Michael Jurevicius #87

Height: 6-5

Weight: 230 lbs. Age: 31

Pos: WR

Experience: 8 years

College: Penn State

I love this guy. He plays with so much heart. He would make a great possession receiver, which is what we really need. The only reason why he is 5th on this list is his age. At 31 years old he might actually cost to much to pry him away from Seattle. He had a monster year in the RedZone and could play a similar role for us.

REC 55 | YDS 694 | TD 10

SPLIT REC YDS AVG LNG TD

2005 55 694 12.6 52 10

I would not be dissapointed with any of these WR's. And it would be great to get two of them, although the salary cap could prevent that. It might be possible to sign a combination of Robinson and one of the other WR's. maybe...

Randle El & Robinson

Givens & Robinson

Curtis & Robinson

This has pretty much been covered ad nauseam.

Curtis is a restricted free agent and I don't think StL will let him leave with Bruce about to exit...

Also, everyone says the Skins need size. But if you look at the Chiefs (where the brand new offensive coordinator coached last year) none of their receivers had "size." Also the Rams have a pretty successful offense without a "big" receiver.

The need for a big possession receiver is a myth if you have guys that can get open and catch the ball...or you have guys that work in a system that highlights their attributes...

Don't get me wrong I'd be thrilled if the Skins signed Randle El. But he and Moss are smaller than Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, and Eddie Kennison

even though you say that Jurevicius is old i believe he would be the best of choices. however seattle isnt going to want to loose him and we would have to pay top dollar. even though he is my first pick for our number two guy i dont see it happening. but if we got him! OH BABY! talk about a well oiled machine

But none of them have the "size" of which you speak. You don't need a bunch of 6'4" monstrosities. You just needs guys that can get open and catch the ball. If Randle El can do that better than Patten/Jacobs/Thrash, then he's a good fit. If he can't then he's not.

In inch or two on the #2 WR is not gonna make or break this offense...his ability to get open and take pressure of of Santana is what will make/break this offense.

You can play with size without being tall. David Givens plays with size. He is 6-0 215 lbs but he uses his body to stay between the Defender and the ball. Robinson also can play with size. Jacobs on the other hand has yet to show he knows how.

no randle el or curtis...thanks but no thanks...WILL EVERYONE TAKE ONE GIANT STEP OFF OF RANDLE EL'S CROTCH, I MEAN EVEN IF ITS JUST LONG ENOUGH TO CATCH YOUR BREATH. get of his nutz, he isnt that good. And isnt worth all the cash that he is going to demand.

Randle-El is another Rod Gardner, he only caught 50% of the passes thrown to him this year (Gardner could throw passes, too). Jurevicious caught 65% of his passes, and scored 10 TDs besides. Givens is good, but we can forget Randle-El and Givens, they will be too expensive, and Curtis won't be available since he is an RFA. Robinson is a risk because of his previous booze addiction problems (relapses happen). Jurevicius is the man if we can pry him away from Seattle.

:applause: :applause: :applause: The thread could have ended right there..

What do the redskins need? A wide receiver..

What does Randel El Suck at being? A wide receiver..

The math isn't that hard people. Randel El will not suite our needs.

I'm in the mindset that we don't need to go after a top tier FA. Here is a nice list from scouts.com

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=83&rc=16&pid=16

I'd like to go for Jurevicius 1st. Another guy that I wouldn't mind them checking out is Randy Hymes from Baltimore, he is 6'3" - 211lbs. I haven't seen much of him and it doesn't help that Baltimores QB sux.

Marc Boerigter is another guy that's 6'3 and already knows KC's playbook.

I'll be happy if they can just add some size, somebody over 6 feet.
