Larry
I just heard my local radio station (WTMN, 1430 AM, Gainesville, FL: very local: I think their useable broadcast range just reaches the city limits) will be carrying Redskins radio broadcasts. (I don't think they have an internet audio link, but at least I should be able to listen to them while I'm in the sports bar watching the game). skinsfan44
If it is the "real" redskins radio and not Fox or CBS radio then your in for a treat. Frank, Sonny and Sam are the best in the business. They do a great job at bringing you the" feels like your at the game" kind of broadcast. Yea there homer's too.
skinsfanbu
I wish some station in South Florida would follow suit. I miss Sonny, Sam and Frank dearly...have for over 23 years.

"Touchdown, Washington Redskins!"

HTTR,

[ March 20, 2002, 09:33 AM: Message edited by: skinsfanbu ]
NavyDave
The best way to watch skins games is to turn down the volume on the TV and listen to Sonny and co on the radio
PCS
Wish that had been around,or that I had known where to find that back in '83 at Homestead AFB,(that's south south Fla. ) when the legendary Raiders vs Washington regular season game was on.
Just after the Raiders scored in the 4th quarter local programming switched to the Phins game.
I was the only Skins fan in the room, actually, I think on the base. The Skins had fallen. When I called the family back in Alexandria,(right off van dorn), to ease their pain and mine, I was informed of the Redskins amazing comeback win. In order of appearance in the phone bbooth.
Uptown Skins
I feel you that style NavyDave!

Ever since the 99 season, I would turn down the volume of the TV and turn on 106.7, blasting it real loud.
Mickalino
Thats not going to help Larry, any. I'm sure he doesn't get Sonny, & Co in Gainesville. If he did, he would have never started this thread.
JimboDaMan
Ahh PCS, I remember that game as one of my favorites. That was the one with the line-drive onsides kick the Skins recovered in the final minutes.

After the game, Howie Long whined, "Holding is an art, and today R.C. Thielman (I think it was him) was Picasso"
PCS
And now for the "man am I going to get thrashed for this one" and "you have got to be s***** me" admission of the year. I have yet to see the last part of that game. Yes, the video is soon to be on the way.
Om
Here, maybe this will tide you over 'til the vid shows up.

Redskins 37, Raiders 35

[ March 20, 2002, 12:47 PM: Message edited by: Om ]
PCS
Gracious. Kaufman? Coffey? Washington? Oh my. I am old. Now excuse me. I'll be camping out on the front porch for awhile. Waiting.
Larry
Actually, even if they're not carrying Sonny & Co., (or if they've gone downhill. It's been 10 years since I heard them), I'll still consider this a positive, since my usual gametime environment is a sports bar, where I can watch, but not hear, the game.

Watching's nice, but it gets really bad watching somebody get helped off the field, and then not being able to hear what happened to them. (Trying to figure out what they're reviewing is fun, too).
