drums and skins
just a beautiful film. absolutely 5/5 stars. Then again, if I like a movie, I'll usually give it a high rating. No middle ground for me, really. Crash deserved best picture. WTL definitely deserved to be there in consideration with it, though.

EersSkins05
I would give it maaaaaybe 3 of 4 stars. I've just seen too many movies exactly like this one. Ok, I get it- he's an out of control music star on drugs and needs to kick them to come back down to earth. And if we're suddenly just mailing oscars to actors that portray musicians, Val Kilmer is holding on line one.
flyingtiger1013
I read his autobiography back in 1977. Still have it someplace. In fact, the VERY FIRST song I can remember hearing is Folsom Prison Blues from the Live at Folsom 8-track!! (Damn, I'm old) Yes, I STILL have it!!! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/999243158X/sr=8-2/qid=1143144856/ref=pd_bbs_2/102-8396371-3900165?%5Fencoding=UTF8
Zguy28
I love it! 4 stars. I especially thought it was funny when Elvis was eating the chili fries!
joe
Watched it last weekend. I thought it was good, but I did not think that Phoenix's Cash was anywhere near Hoffman's Capote. Not even close. Strayhorn's (did I get that name correct?) Edward R. Murrow, was better too. And I thought that the young lady who was in Junebug deserved the oscar for best supporting actress, although Witherspoon played the role of June very well.
