Drunken Master III
If so they I hope we can get a lot of depth on the d-line and cb position.
Skins24
We lost a starting CB, a starting LB, and 2 starting WRs....we better.... Of course we won't though.
ttr77
I don't have much confidence in this team's drafting ability outside of the first round to feel that compensatory picks would make a difference.
Gallen5862
I think that Pierce and Smoot will qualify for comp picks. The criteria to receive comp picks is to either lose more free agents then signed or that you lost higher quality free agents.
RIDETHEWALRUS
Coles won't count because we traded him. I don't know how exactly they figure picks out though.
nonniey
As big as the Contracts were for Pierce and Smoot in addition to both starting and Pierce playing at an All Pro Level - Yes I'd say it is likely that the Redskins will get comp picks and I'd expect a 3rd rounder at that. ktball74
Do you get comp picks even if the player was an undrafted FA?
Duckus
how does this all work? Can someone explain. Thanks
Pocono
Among players that count in the formula the Skins lost Smoot at 6M per year and Pierce at 4.5M per year and gained Rabach at 3.1M per and Patten at 2.5M per and possibly Holdman at 540K per. If there were no offset Smoot would be a solid pick at the end of the 3rd rd and Pierce would be on the cusp of a 4th/5th rd pick. Since the additions of Rabach and Patten[and possibly Holdman] greatly offset these loses my guess is they'll get a pick at the end of the 5th rd and maybe one at the end of the 7th. AdamJT13 is the expert on comp picks for all of NFL messageboardom so maybe he'll chime in.
ImmortalDragon
I think we'll get a 5th at most, possibly a 7th.

skinsman4u
Yeah the Eagles had somewhere around 10 picks and look what happened to them this year...I know those were draft picks and normally can't have immediate impact but a good football team is also judged by its margin of error and there's was pretty low. But I think you try to build up your margin of error through free agency and the draft.
Riggo-toni
We lost a starting CB, a starting LB, and 2 starting WRs....we better....Of course we won't though. Both WRs were traded, so they won't count.
All In
I doubt we'll get any picks. We've pretty much replaced those players we lost in FA. I'm curious if Casserly gets fired, do we bring him in here to help out Gibbs. I wouldn't be surprised if we go after a GM type and give him a Pres role over Vinny under Gibbs. Dead Money
And we also get a free "sorry coach but we were wrong" ala Mike Holmgren. (
