skinthemboys
After losing 2 of our 3 starting WRs, the thought of who would fill their shoes worried me a bit to say the least. Losing sellars and betts certainly hasnt helped much. But with the signing of Brown and Farris I take a look at our new recieving core and I like what I see. Brown Is a bit like moss. Small, quick, runs good sharp routes, I cant say Im worried about him fumbling the ball because, well, I've only seen him fumble once. I have seen him drop some catchable passes but with repetition on the field that can be corrected. He will certainly demand attention from the CBs. Farris bring a bigger body, deceivingly fast, and from what I saw in preseason, good hands. Now, I certainly am not making any predictions but the three together on the field have the tools and talent to rip a defence apart. What do ya think? :logo:
Chachie
Antonio Brown's fumble....."Testeverde to Crayton." I never forgave him. No offense, Antonio. You just drop too many passes and punts.
Warhead36
Actually Testaverde to Crayton occured the possession after he fumbled. We actually stopped the Cowboys D on the following possession causing a 4 and out, although I agree he did cause us the ability to kill more clock. skinthemboys
Well If we have to cut or keep players on one or two bad plays....we'll have to cut the whole team.

AJ_Skins
Oh yeah, Brown and Farris. That inspires total confidence. You've just sunk to a new low in homerism.
Mickalino
Oh yeah, Brown and Farris. That inspires total confidence. :doh:You've just sunk to a new low in homerism. Exactly. Antonio Brown does not make NFL rosters due to his receiver skills. At best, he is : 1)a marginal NFL receiver, and 2) a fairly decent punt returner, with a penchant for fumbling at the most inopportune moments. TheSteve
Who are you guys kidding?!??!?! Farris probably turned down MILLIONS in signing bonuses from other teams who were LINED UP to get him JUST so he could play with the Redskins!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mickalino
Rarely do cast offs help teams.I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not optomistic. Exception to the rule, is when they play AGAINST the Redskins. The Skins have a curse where backups and castoffs from other teams kill the Skins. There's been many a time, but here's one example. Remember a Sunday night game a few years ago, we were playin the Saints, and I believe his name was Michael Lewis, but anyways, the story goes - the day before the Saints played us, he was a UPS Driver. The next day he returned 2 kicks for TD's against us. But somehow I dont see Farris or Brown doin that for us.
KillaCam21
Oh. Dont like em eh? well Taylor jacobs and patten.....now theres a combo What's your point? Farris and Brown could only make a team that has TWO receivers.
skinthemboys
This is funny....Before moss showed up lots of people were saying how bad we got screwed in the moss/coles trade, huh, guess w'ell just have to wait and see. I'll take these two over patten and the "hessogreatinpractice" jacobs.

Mister Happy
On 980, Brunell said that Taylor Jacobs had not adjusted to game speed in the last game and that he was a very talented receiver. Give him some time. He'll come around. Remember that Brunell was 1 out of his first 8 passes to Moss, also. Then he hit Moss for the 2 TDs in the Dallas game, and now Moss is the #10 vote getter in the Pro Bowl ballot. I'm not saying Taylor Jacobs can be Moss, but he can be a good #2 guy for us. Just be patient.

Yeah, I remember that game...the mythical and magical Patrick Ramsey threw like 27 interceptions in that daggone game...ugh. Redskins fandom at its lowest moment is when the Saints drop 40+ on you AT HOME. :puke:

Mickalino
Actually, Farris is destined to be a monster. He's got the perfect Chris Berman name. Berman : There he goes - the Jimmy Farris Wheel, He's turning, and turning, and turning, and he could....go...all.......
