Art Posted November 18, 2005 Share Posted November 18, 2005 I was right along the line on that. It was perfectly legal. We didn't cross the neutral zone until the ball was snapped. We were MOVING before it was, but we never got into the zone. The official was pulling his flag as we started moving almost on reflex. It was a bad call. The two-point conversion was a bad call too, but, it was one that is somewhat easier to understand. Parts of Alstott's body got in. Even on replay since you can't see the ball you can't say it didn't get in or that it did. I think like the Betts long run where his toe was in and you had to know whether his heel hit the ground or not to call him out, that despite what it looked like, without CLEAR evidence you can't overrule the call on the field.
