rvan1
they havent been perfect, but the consistent play of mark brunell has helped them out in that category this year
HailYeah
As long as we limit penalties and turnovers, we are going to win a lot of games this year. Our defense is too good and our offense keeps the TOP advantage consistently enough to have success.
H-O-G
and I half expected a Cheerleader to start this kind of thread, not a waterboy
TD_washingtonredskins
I like how they're able to overcome negative plays. We'd have to have a perfect drive last year to score. If we got going, we were OK. However, one penalty or negative play would essentially end the drive. This year, it doesn't matter the down and distance, we have a shot to keep the drive moving. dadirtbags
things have changed for the better......I think we are in the right direction with "building towards being winners" I'm not sure how this year will end up though....still early....and I do hope we make it to the playoffs this year and do well thru out this season......I have a feeling next year we will be one of the favorites within the league
Taylor 21
i also noticed we dont have many penalties... i only remember 1 penalty on us last game
Jumbo
I feel it but am I still way too aware of how early it is and how quickly things can change from week to week in this league, with any team. I want this one bad. Strategically, it's a biggy, and in terms of intangibles, I believe a win here will add in an important way to the already healthy self-confidence and belief of our guys. This is the first test since the last minute heroics in Dallas where there's extra pressure and meaning in the outcome, IMO. It will also relieve some of the still-exisiting angst in some of us for those close losses at KC and Denver. :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck
[[ghost]]
our D needs to step up. i know their great, but they got to shut down offenses left and right, like last year. if we had this year's O and last year's D, we would win the superbowl. no question about it. Califan007 The Constipated
So far there haven't been any trips inside the 10 yard line with first and goal...only to end up with 3rd and goal from the 35......that seemed to happen a little too often last year. hercules
How many times before Gibbs returned did the team just seem to give up when they faced some adversity and got behind? I hated that like hell. With Gibbs, and we're really seeing it this year, this team will fight until the final gun. I just hope that the next coach to succeed Gibbs carries on his tradition more effectively than Petitbon/Turner was able to.
