China
Not your ordinary housecat. A Serval. Big cat captured in Greensboro An animal control officer brought this cat to the Guilford County Animal Shelter after it was captured in the Fisher Park area Monday. Marsha Williams, executive director of the shelter, said the cat was observed following someone walking a dog. Williams estimated the cat’s weight at between 50 and 70 pounds and said it was in the best interest of the community to capture it. “It may have hurt someone’s child; it may have hurt someone’s (pet).” The cat was originally believed to be an ocelot, but someone claiming to be its owner said it was a serval. If it is determined to be exotic, it will not be returned to its owner under county rules, which ban exotic pets. It could go to an animal rescue group. Destino
Nice looking animal but a 50lb cat could really do some damage. Too bad cats to take training too well or else those would make great guard animals.
Walking Deadman
Wild exotic animals in a domesticated community don't mix......
webnarc
Cats are killing machines, sure not like grizzly bears with chain saws, but they kill better than most creatures. It is a nice looking cat, but it'd eat your face in a heart beat.
Art Monk Fan
There's a Serval hi-bred called a Savannah cat that is a registered domestic breed. Serval's are also commonly kept pets, though they require special licensure in some states.

TC4
Wow, that thing looks like a bobcat My older brother shot a bobcat one time. That sucker was 35 lbs.(The average sized one is about 20-25) and he has it mounted in his living room now
Bonez3
Man- I'm disappointed. I thought it was a 50 lb alley cat- of the domestic breed. That would be a cool story. Having to hide your children from an obese Garfield.
