He writes for cbs sportsline and he is one of the dumbest football writers out there. To me, he is almost as bad as Lenny P but nobody ever mentions this retarded hater on this board. jaydean Posted September 7, 2005 Share Posted September 7, 2005 we have to realize as diehard fans of the skins, that it's been a long long long dryspell for us winning. we haven't made the playoffs in many years, and the "danny boy" era hasn't been without it's roadblocks and pitfalls. the media has every right to blast us and have fun with us. sometimes we just cannot see thru our burgandy and gold colored glasses. the bottom line is.....we have to be better CONSISTANTLY to begin getting the credit that we think we deserve as a team. Agree with what you're saying. BUT Other teams seem to not get the same degree of "hatred" that the Skins do. Buffalo hasn't been to the playoffs since 1999. Where are the "haters" for that organization? Jacksonville....again no playoffs since 1999. Cardinals.....no playoffs since 98...and they're darlings this year in the media. Cowboys....1 playoff season in 5....better than us....still not very good. Bears.....1 playoff season in 10......no ragging on the Bears organization. So for me, it's not about "bashing" the Skins, to some degree we've deserved it, it's just the apparent bias where the Skins organization is condemned as inept and yet others seem to skate on by without scrutiny. When the Eagles were a two-win team, they still had their own ESPN beat reporter, Sal Pal. If we start winning, do not expect Lenny and Pete and Dr. Z to start eating their words. They aren't journalists & aren't interested in accuracy or truth -- they're loud mouths who, like so many loudmouths, develop an automatic amnesia as to what they said yesterday and/or anything that challenges their most closely-held opinions.
