Fair points, but you've got to win if you want to have a chance of breaking the cycle. So I guess be happy when the team wins when there's still plenty of season left and anything can happen if they get hot. It's different if they've won two games with one to go, then that's just silly.
Continually sucking each year and then relying on an unknown rookie who you hope will be the difference maker to turn the franchise around is bad. It's rough for fans, and it's an awful lot to ask from a rookie.
