Trask is an UDFA talent. There’s zero upside with him. People are just looking at the stats and thinking he’s good like they did with Haskins. 22 women > 1 -
QBs of the future don’t come from after round 1 unless you get extremely lucky. Like extremely. Teams that plan on getting their QBotF from rd 2 or later usually fail, actually almost always fail. Just bite the bullet and trade up now so you know you have a franchise QB.

Trade up for one of the top 5 guys. That’s our only option because the 2022 draft is a weak class and we won’t be bad enough to draft high for what’s there. Mills is fine I guess. Trask is a waste of a draft pick. In this league you need someone with any semblance of mobility and arm strength or an elite processor like Tom Brady. Trask has/is none of those. Why he’s even draftable let alone going on day 2 in this case is beyond me.

I’m sorry, but if their two targets are a the least physically gifted prospect in this draft and a god damn third stringer then our future is ****ed because their talent evaluation is scary bad.

Yes I do because that’s the only way we’re going to compete for a championship. You need a physically gifted QB that you can take advantage of on their rookie contract. Ryan isn’t even remotely like Tom Brady but ok

Yes you do have to. Next year is an awful QB class and drafting QB in the mid round is like lighting a pick on fire.

You can get out of all of these contracts after 2 years. I guarantee you this board doesn't know the cap more than the numbers guys working in NFL FOs.

Fitzpatrick is almost 39 and Heinicke/Allen are backups at best. That’s why you go QB this year. You need a long term answer.

They would have gotten a 2 and another mid rounder maybe. He was a tackle on the wrong side of 30 and had injury issues.

Trading into the top 10 for one of them is worth it. You can't contend without a franchise QB and you don't find those after round 1 unless you get extremely lucky.
