    I’m really disappointed Kyle is leaving but at the same time intrigued on what kind of scouting staff will be assembled. For all the flack Hurney gets he clearly has an eye for front office talent (Beane, Schoen, Cowden). Stokes seem to have a good resume as well. So it’s kinda bittersweet because I really believe in Kyle’s ability from what we know but I’m optimistic on what’s to come.

    His No-Trade clause is a huge factor, can potentially angle where he wants to go rather than where Texans get the craziest offer. Of course it would still have to be a great offer or Houston can just force him to stay but it technically doesn’t have to be the best offer of the bunch.

    I don’t see Ron as the type to be speaking off the record about who’s he going to choose as GM during the season/playoff run. I think a lot of this stuff is speculation and people connecting dots to familiar names to Ron.

    If the Lions open up for business. I have a hard time seeing Stafford, teams generally trade guys that good out of conference.

    Darnold is way better than Haskins. A lot of times we look at stats in a vacuum. SD had an 88.5 QBR yesterday vs the number one pass and overall defense in the league. Controlled the game from start to finish. He has highs that Dwayne never has. But I don’t want to trash DH so I’ll move on. Sam is a work in progress but he does some stuff really well. The question needs to be how does the things he does well mesh with what Scott Turner does. And would his weaknesses be as prevalent in this offense in comparison to Gase’s. And as kdawg stated earlier the age is intriguing. It’s a Year 4 guy who’s only a year older than incoming rookies like Trask and Mac Jones. And for the record this is not my number one choice for us, just what I think end up happening .

    I’m gonna call my shot.. the QB room next season will be Darnold, Kyle and mid/late round prospect if Alex retires. Alex/Sam/Kyle if he doesn’t.

    Too bad the Lafleur/Rodgers relationship didn't keep trending down. Talk about stars aligning

    OBJ at his best is All Pro caliber, ARob is pro bowl caliber. Both would be a huge boost to this team but let’s not kid ourselves because one has a “polarizing” personality.
