I agree completely with you. But if they DO take Hooker at 16, more than likely the evaluation was made through the eyes of EB. And if EB feels that Hooker offers more than what Howell does, I’m on board.

I don’t think there’s a shot in hell Andy gives up a first for Chase coming off inconsistency and injury. If they’re going to trade anyone I’d rather trade Sweat.

The closer we get, the more I think that Hooker might be the pick at 16 if we’re unable to trade down. And I think I’m pretty okay with it. Would love to end up with Bijan but I think I might be okay with Hooker at 16.

Yes but we do have 2024 FA period, franchise tag and draft to fill these needs. Doesn’t necessarily need to be addressed in this draft.

I would imagine it comes down to what other gambling situations it may open up. The NFL must protect its integrity in regards to fixing games. Once they lose that, the NFL shield is chipped and may not be fixable.

What do we actually know about EB’s offensive scheme? Assuming we are looking to go offense side of ball, the top OT’s and Bijan are off the board and we really do value our WR room as is rn, do you think Jahmyr Gibbs would be in play at #16? Any thoughts on how he would fit into EB’s scheme? Might he actually fit better than Bijan? Obviously trading down becomes an option but how far down? Thoughts?

“Gimme 2 and a half minutes” To me this draft, at least #16, has to be BPA. I understand we have needs. And we need to fill them. Especially along the OL. We have a defense that was top ten in almost every defensive statistical category. On the flip side our offense, well, quite offensive. We have decisions to make with several of our own at the end of the year. Sweat-Young, Curl, Gibby to name a few. We have talent needs at OL, Corner, LB to name a few. But to me grabbing a dynamic game changing talent on the offensive side of the ball should be priority number one. Someone who will aide in the development of our young, dare I say “franchise qb” in an offense system brought over by one of the bright offensive minds in the NFL. Get EB a nice shiny toy that will give him a dynamic option along with the rather untapped dynamic talent we have rostered already. That being said that does not exclude an OL , a Corner or a QB. Really hoping #16 comes through the eyes of EB and should “value” with this pick should be defined by scheme and how he fits on this team rather than a matter of where the player is drafted in this draft. My hopes for 16 in order: 1. BIJAN ROBINSON 2. DALTON KINCAID *Would love to land one of these two and finish the rest of the draft heavy with OL, CO, TE-RB, LB-Edge* 3. PETER SKORONSKI 4. PARIS JOHNSON JR. 5. CHRISTIAN GONZALEZ 6. BRODERICK JONES 7. DEONTE BANKS 8. DEVON WITHERSPOON 9. DARNELL WRIGHT 10. ZAY FLOWERS Would also be open to a trade down if 1-6 are off the board. I really don’t get the Ron hate. He came in here 4 years ago and set out to do what we asked of him. “Change the culture!”. And he did. Slowly but surely he did. And he did it while undergoing Cancer treatments and the impending sale of this franchise. Sure he missed on a few things. A few free agents. A few on the field calls. A few things he probably shouldn’t have said in the media. All in all, after 4 years, he’s managed to not only change the culture but turn a lackluster roster which inherited into a talented one. We haven’t seen in W’s yet but we’re heading in the right direction. Today is a good day to look back and try to remember how we felt 4 years ago.
