The Lakers had a free agency pitch for Lamarcus Aldridge. The entire pitch was around being in Hollywood. Nothing about the direction of the franchise. They messed it up so much that they Aldridge gave them a second pitch. Kobe's contract was bad, but it wasnt a barrier and Kobe just didnt mess with Dwight. (rightly) Jim Buss is just a bad owner and a lot of people around the league have said that. taht is awesome. So did Dirk and the Mavericks are a 7th seed waiting to be swept. Never begrudge someone for getting their money. Especially since they were making a bunch of money off Kobe.

The Buss family were the biggest barrier. Only Dwight Howard didnt want to play with Kobe, and we see Dwight Howard wasnt worth it.

also, Kobe was the last player from the 1996 draft class still playing. That 1996 class is probably the best ever. (dont care) yup, ive always said this. That period was a low water mark for the league. If you go from 86-91, there are not that many HOFers in those years as 96-98.

Because Green is playing the 5 even tho he has two seven footers on the roster.Jordan is 6'10" and can jump out of a building. Even then he can't get on the court without Chris Paul who is a top 5 point guard of all time. Rodman wasn't that. And if he getting more points on pnr then his rebound numbers will dip as he away from the basket. As for defense, Green blocks shots, steals, and averages nearly 10 Rebs a game. He is also one of the best 1v1 defenders in the game today. I think he a better defender that Rodman but if you think otherwise, then fine. It's closer than most will want to admit and Green will prolly win DPOY and should have won it last year. What should absolutely not be a discussion is whether Green is a better player than Rodman. It's not even close. The only argument for Rodman being better than Green as a player is nostalgia and nothing more. The only thing Rodman is by far better than Green is rebounding the ball.
