  1. Feel like this needs its own thread because I doubt that I'm doing anything wrong here but on the off chance that I am figure I'd ask here. I see the guys talking about Jay Gruden's comments today and I go to www.redskins.com and click on the videos menu which brings up a bunch of videos I'd like to watch. http://www.redskins.com/media-gallery/videos/ They feature the HC the new OC and the new DC talking and I'd like to watch these but every time I try to watch I get an annoying error message that says "We're sorry but this video is no longer available - Watch more videos" On every video that's posted up now. So not to be funny but wth? Where did the video go? Clearly this was just conducted today it should be available and if it wasn't available why did someone at Redskins.com post it in the first place? I tried on workstation and my iphone and getting same error. The videos won't play on either. I searched on Youtube for these interviews and they aren't there and even looked at NFL.com to see if they were there on the team page and of course they aren't. Its like they never happened Why for such a big business does the NFL continue to have one of the worst video sites anywhere? It seems to me that these videos have a shelf life of about 1 hour in that if you miss them once done you won't see them ever. Anyone have a fix for this? So annoying
  2. So today on the drive in to work I hear all over the radio stations that the Cowboys are discussing trading Dak Prescott. Now as a Redskins fan living in Dallas it's not unusual to hear these clowns talking out the sides of their necks when it comes to the Cowboys to me. Example two weeks ago these hacks were talking about a certainty that the Redskins would give up Cousins to Free Agency and give them a first round pick for Tony Romo. These guys are always making crap up out of the blue like that. So didn't think much of this noise but just ran to Wendy's to get a salad and yet again there was the talk about trading Dak. One of the radio hosts was thinking the Browns would give up the 1st overall pick, there 2nd first round pick, there 2nd and 3rd round picks and next years first round pick as well for him. Obviously no team is going to sink that much capital into Dak Prescott and it's just another example of rumor starting and stupid commentary by these idiots. I hate the local sports talk here and it has to be the absolute worst radio coverage of a professional team anywhere.
  3. Driving home from work tonight the clowns here in Dallas are talking about Tony Romo and his future. Next thing I know they start playing clips from Kirk talking about his percentages and the likely chance that we do not keep him due to cost. Then the announcers start talking about our 17th overall pick and how they think we will give the Cowboys that pick for Romo Now first off hahahah the cowboys nation who listens to this crap and believe that must be the dumbest fans anywhere. Second ummm **** no that would be a horrible trade for us, Romo is made of glass and would get hurt no doubt plus he's old as hell. No thanks last if anyone running this team thinks this is a good idea please send me a pm and let me know so I can officially quit being a fan of this team for them being so damn stupid. I seriously would turn in my fan card if that went down and lose every bit of faith in this game forever
  4. Maybe the silence we are hearing is the official message about this? Seems odd to me for sure
  5. Why don't we have a discussion thread on DeSean Jackson? I mean PFF is talking about him leaving, possible tampering charges against the Eagles involvement in him already, and we aren't interested in this? I'm confused http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/28/desean-jackson-on-free-agency-who-knows-what-will-happen/
  6. Stopped in to say **** YOU COWBOYS that's it
  7. Not sure if everyone has seen this and not starting a thread here in case there is one and I didn't notice So there you go. Now a couple of thoughts 1. When Baker walked through the locker room is this the 2016 "You Like That!" moment? "We run the East" I love it 2. Who the hell is Smith to talk like this? I mean it's one thing to be an athlete like Michael Irvin who talks smack because he's been there, done that before but this guy? To call professional athletes "losers" only shows what a pos this guy really is. Eff him 3. If we had won that game against Dallas would any one even wonder if "We run the East" in 2016? Hell no they wouldn't and we should have won that game. Everyone is on the Dak Zeke bandwagon now so they can talk smack like this about us thinking the NFC East won't run through DC but they will learn in time. It maybe a new year but somethings don't change. We run the East /Rant over
  8. If you have to ask "Are we right to be concerned" about an NFL team 99.99999% of the time the answer is Yes always. You have to always be concerned no matter what team your talking about The Seahawks should be concerned they just kept like 16 rookies on there final 53 including Russell Wilsons primary backup. The Patriots should be concerned Brady's suspended, Jimmy G doesn't look good, Gronks on the cover of madden and that blasted curse. The Panthers should be concerned they are the reigning Superbowl losing team and history shows those teams the next season almost always suck The Broncos should be concerned they just wasted 4 years grooming a QB now playing in Houston and they have to start a rookie QB week one The Cardinals should be concerned Carson Palmer looked awful in preseason and he's 36 years old the age when QB's usually fall off the cliff My point is you can make a case for every single team in this league having reason, justifiable reason to be concerned about the state of that team. Us included. My biggest issue this off season has been how we've treated our RB situation. Keith Marshall when he was drafted I clearly said on this forum I believed would be a wasted pick, or a worthless pick. People here got excited about his speed, his pedigree, his high school rankings even. I said then don't believe this nonsense, teams all have the same scouting information and if they saw his 40 yard time and wouldn't draft him there are huge red flags about this kid and what happened? He's on IR now and won't help us just like I predicted. I was pissed we didn't address this in the draft or in free agency. I complained that putting all our eggs in the Matt Jones basket this year was irresponsible. Matt Jones yards per carry last season was a terrible 3.3, horrible. He was also showing clear signs he was injury prone making a viable backup a top priority and was upset Alfred Morris walked away for such little money. And what's happened? Matt Jones didn't look good in preseason (not one but two undrafted rookies outplayed him) and got hurt again. What did Morris do? Only look the part of a capable efficient RB now on the freaking Cowboys (added insult to this situation). Thing is even with me being right and complaining this off season none of that matters. Not one bit. What matters is what happens for us going forward. I hope like hell I am proven wrong about our RB situation but honestly in all of my years watching football and studying it I have a hell of a hard time remembering ever seeing any team let alone this team in the last 40 years ignore completely this aspect of a team like this. It's very odd what we did here. I hope I'm dead wrong, I hope that Matt Jones shows us all why the coaches had faith in him and makes me look like an idiot for voicing my concern about this aspect of the team but I am concerned and like those other teams only time will tell for us all if we should be concerned or not. Talking is thankfully almost over. Its almost Game Time! HTTR
  9. We aren't going to keep all 5 of these guys Matt Jones Chris Thompson Mack Brown Rob Kelley Keith Marshall So what I would do is IR Keith Marshall and keep the 4 others. So when I looked up Marshall's stats I didn't realize that this was already done two days ago. So really our RBs are Matt Jones Chris Thompson Mack Brown Rob Kelley Keith Marshall And we are sure our best bet is only to keep 3 of those guys? Someone please explain to me why we would do that? Our presumed starting RB is injury prone and wasn't effective last season, I've already posted stats showing just how ineffective Matt Jones was last year which if you don't know is eye opening. Thompson spot is safe on the roster. So you basically have three guys who haven't ever looked good when it counted so what exactly do we have here? I think our best bet here would be to keep all four of those guys on the 53 and go into the season letting all three get carries and figuring out who is worth giving 15 chances a game with the rock. By waiting until someone looks ineffective and then releasing that player during the season will allow us to stash him on practice squad later. Right now the tape looks too good with Brown and Kelly that we couldn't do that so why not wait until one looks like a jag and then cut that guy later? If you had to pin my feet to the floor I would rather keep Brown over Kelly
  10. It's not like I haven't seen worse things in wrestling then that much worse but to me as a lifelong fan that fall was a big FU to the business, it's workers, and worse a lack of remembering the past. Of all places to do a massive fall like that it was completely out of place and self serving and pissed me off. Done in the middle of the card, a stunt dangerous enough to not be controllable where someone could have died, and done in front of the guys children. That's messed up to me. What's worse when you think about it that stunt was pulled off for one reason, it was done so that a McMahon will go down in history amongst the likes of Mick Foley, Abdullah the butcher, Sabu, Terry Funk, the Sandman, Brusier Brody and the real hard core wrestlers . Why Undertaker, because when Foley did it Undertaker was his opponent. The whole story was added because some one wants to look back at Shane's career and think he's a hardcore wrestler the likes of those men. Shane is not nor ever will be a hardcore wrestler the likes of those men to me. I'm with LBK, blood over bumps. As much as he tries to be hardcore, wrestlers are not one night matches, they aren't just one trick ponies, one bump guys, and falling off a cage doesn't make anyone hard core. The real ones do it night after night after night and can't be made by one bump. When I add in that the story went no where, to the what ifs....What If Shane had died in that fall would they have continued the show like they did to Owen? Would Shaq have come out after that? Would the Rock have come out? How would the crowd have reacted would there have been a riot? Or would it have been the death blow for the WWE when the bosses son died in front of women and children and really stole the show? Dangerous events need to be done for a reason and with the right people not to be taken lightly or done often for no reason. There needs to be more to that then just one guys ego for the security not only of the show itself, the business and it's future. I guarantee you if Shane had died doing that things would be a hell of a lot different then they turned out
  11. Pretty much and we would have had a "new direction" for Raw to look forward to tonight which would have been better then what we have now. They lied about this since Wrestlemania 3, it's just what they do
  12. Yup literally for Shane. He could have died last night and for what? As for Undertaker, sure he's old and for the past 25 years he's been the baddest dude on the planet but now he's Vince's ****? Why bury him on his way out the door for Vince like that? This just makes no sense since that was supposed to be about Legacy, so Undertakers legacy is Vince's ****. Got it, what a load of crap. I would have rather Undertaker laid down to a finger poke then win that match and have told Vince to stick it then what happened.
  13. What's the point of the Shane Undertaker match now that we know Undertaker went over? Is Vince trying to bury these guys? Does Shane have a death wish? First we hear over and over "Undertaker is my ****" from Vince in the promos which hurts his brand, then we get excited that "change is going to come" when Shane wins and he loses so its status quo right? Not only does he lose he does one hell of a stupid stunt that could have killed not only him but the entire show. Dumbest thing I've seen in a very long time of dumb things. Does the WWE think Shane is indestructable or have they forgotten what happened to Mick Foley when he fell off the top of that ring which wasn't as high or the money they lost when Owen Hart fell to his death from not much higher or when New Jack almost killed himself jumping off a much shorter distance? The only thing awesome about that to me was Shane survived it and how it made no sense to me to have done it in the first place. The parent inside of me is angry he did that in front of his three kids too. I enjoyed the show overall and was entertained but that match didn't sit well with me and makes no sense to me where they go from here.
