  1. Durbin cornering Kav...Kav can't win here. "If you are innocent suspend the hearing" Win for Dems
  2. So win-win no matter what happens Dems - win if they stop him getting in, win if they vote him in as it shows horrible decision making on Trump for not investigating Repubs - win if he gets in, one more vote for their side. win if he doesn't get it, he was innocent but railroaded by the dems. No matter what happens the narrative works for both sides agenda And here we go, popcorn all day
  3. I believe that with the maps shown today that it was established that this happened 6 miles away from the pool she had swam at before going to the party. Which means someone had to drive her to the party and someone had to drive her away from the party. She was not driving at that time. The problem is she does not remember who that person was. However with only 6 people there when it happened it should be simple to figure out who lived on that street.
  4. It's official. Time to go get Rishard Matthews very underrated receiver https://www.profootballrumors.com/2018/09/titans-release-rishard-matthews
  5. Been saying this for weeks never more truer then today. Why does the front office constantly wait for emergency situations before making moves? If they were to sign Dez anytime this season waiting did not help them. If before they showed the world the receivers sucked and they signed him it would have been cheaper. If they can’t show they have a working passing offense this week Dez price demands are going to go up. Stupid management Perriman I was against the moment I heard he was signed and glad that guys gone I don’t buy for a minute that they tried for Josh Gordon. He was traded for almost nothing and our picks are going to be higher then the Patriots. A simple match of the terms would have made Josh a Redskin. Plus they have 10 or 11 draft picks next season so they definitely had the ammunition to get there. I would bet that Bruce told Doug they tried to get him but in reality nothing happened on that front by Bruce because he’s an idiot. So Bruce put Doug out there to take the heat for Josh not being here since Bruce is the man who makes trades not Doug. Not to mention why would the Browns want to keep Josh in the AFC? Table was set but Bruce was sleeping and missed his chance to eat.
  6. It’s the lack of attention to detail that bugs me about this and It’s the forgetting the past that bugs me with the teams management. I am expecting nothing at all from these signings and this just being more lip service then anything. Someone can say they did something about this issue when in reality they could have signed two guys from the local 7-11 and gotten the same results. To me the reason some teams turn it around is they take risks and those risks pay off. This is not risky at all and it’s a safe way out. The management has no idea if these two can play anymore or even how to use them. But hey management did something. That’s the point with moves like this. It’s the Bruce Allen way
  7. Stats like those don’t tell the real story Josh Gordon exceptional playmaker receiver with a drug problem. When he’s on the field he is a difference maker Perriman is a first round bust receiver who is still on his first NFL guaranteed contract. Meaning the Ravens who owed him guaranteed money cut him regardless. This is rare in the NFL Floyd on the other hand is now on his fifth NFL team after being drafted in 2012. One of those teams was the Patriots so while your discussing not all Patriot moves working out for them include his name. The last time he played well was in 2016. Point is that neither of these guys are any good and neither has any upside to be hopeful for. It is a mistake to think that four other teams got it wrong with Floyd and the Redskins will get something out of him. It’s also wrong to think the Redskins can get anything out of Perriman because they have never shown they can draft a receiver and get him to play up to potential or exceed potential. What has worked before for the Redskins is when they get players who show they can play in this league on other teams. There are/were other choices like that they could have gone with today like Gordon but choose the wrong path. Again
  8. It’s so Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder to see the Patriots get Josh Gordon for a low round pick while the Redskins get a guy with a DUI and a first round bust.
  9. I did and it is on the receivers. Too many dropped passes they look like they are all 50-50 to catch the ball. The Reed fumble. There is plenty of blame to rest on the receivers hands before looking elsewhere imo Shorter routes only would play into the dink and dunk offense and make the opposing team stack the box and rush more. The receivers need to hold onto the ball and make plays with there legs to open the offense up
  10. Sometimes I can't help but love the Giants. They could have had Sam Darnold who's already looking like the real deal but instead drafted Barkley who just set a record in his second game. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/09/new-york-giants-saquon-barkley-nfl-history-stats-catches Not to mention how they loved and believed in old ass Eli that they cut a promising rookie QB so Eli didn't have any one calling for his removal this year. Sometimes I love the Giants and the dumb crap they do. Looking forward to that 2 win season repeat!
  11. The new season of American Horror Story that just started this week is really good
  12. Oh ya, in this neck of the world the cowboys are everything and have the media in it's pocket. Jerry is just a figurehead and no longer running the team. Stephen his son has been running the show the last few years. They are open about the succession plan between the two with the media. Jerry will be leaving soon with his son taking over. Every week I hear Jerry on the radio and as time goes by he gets more and more senile. This weeks interview gave us the sound bites about them starting 0-2, Jerry says hey it's not that bad because two Superbowl teams for the Cowboys started out 0-2, one team in the 90's and one team in the 1970's. With Jerry it's like the President you have to fact check everything that comes out of his mouth. The truth is that one Superbowl team (90's version) did start the season out 0-2. They were 0-2 because Emmitt Smith was holding out. None of the 70's Superbowl teams started out 0-2 and no one knows why he said they did. About the 90's super bowl team compared to today's team. For them there is no Emmit Smith walking through the door for them this year, so in no way does that hold any meaning at all. Yet there was Jerry being all smiles and laughs and happy about the possibility they start out 0-2 this year. That's Jerry for you. So I just watched the Game Pass for the Cowboys last game. They lost to the Panthers last week. They have a pretty good defense, especially against the rb. The reason they lost this game was Dak, once again he was throwing balls behind his receivers, he was dancing around in the pocket and took some unnecessary sacks, terrible play calling, and their offense looked easy to stop - Sell out to stop Zeke and make Dak win the game. Good news for us when we play them. To attack Dallas the opponent needs to get rid of the ball quickly and throw a lot of passes to the RB. McCaffrey was eating last week (hello Chris Thompson!). None of the receivers Dallas played last weekend were as good as Dez, which is why Dez was tweeting last weekend. Before watching this game I didn't know why he was but once you see Dak missing everyone not named Cole you can see what's really wrong with this team To tie this to the topic, Dez isn't nearly as bad as they scapegoated him out to be. Which is one of the reasons I hoped he would sign here but that's not happening lol.
  13. I heard the same thing but spun in a way that made the two of them look like veterans trying to help the young QB out. I don't trust a thing said about the Cowboys on the local stations here, they are catering to the massive fan base that supports the team and always has a positive spin on it. Like with Dez once he refused a paycut and forced them to cut him the spin became all about how greedy he was and how he had lost a step. Instead of the truth being said that Dak Prescott sucks without Zeke taking the defensive primary coverage away from Dak. Dez went from sugar to crap overnight when he refused to take less money around here. I guess that's how most media outlets do things so not unique to this area. Before he refused the paycut Dez with his X signs was Mr. Cowboys. After Dez demanded the team pay him what they agreed to pay him just two years prior he was ass to most around here
  14. @FantasyLabsNFL: Redskins WRs Trey Quinn (ankle) and Cam Sims (ankle) placed on IR. https://t.co/QEheF82wgB m.twitter.com/FantasyLabsNFL Wasn’t expecting both on IR that sucks
  15. So are they simply not going to add any receivers now? Brian Quick is a good Special Teams guy. Receiver wise he is below average and won't help this receiver group. This team had only 3 healthy receivers last game. If they are thinking that they can get anything useful receiving wise out of BQ then I need some of what they are smoking. Last year he played in 11 games and caught 6 passes. BQ isn't going to help with the issues imo
  16. Thing to me is that this team is relying on older players this year at the critical positions - QB, RB, top corner, LT. Since they are playing with older guys then why not double down on that with an older receiver? We have a need for a chunk receiver now. Dez is done as for being a top receiver in the league but so is guys like Demaryius, Emmanuel Sanders, Mike Wallace to name a few. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still capable of helping a team. A lot of people thought that AP at age 33 was done too then he got a shot and just had a combined yardage game of over 150 yards yesterday. I don’t think that Father Time caught up to Dez as much as I think that he was highly overpaid and the Cowboys cut him to save money and that Dak isn’t as good as his reputation says he is. Sometimes we think guys are done but aren’t and have something in the tank left. its a very long shot that we sign him and don’t have my hopes up about it. I would kick the tires on him and see what he has left because I see a need here and a team that’s trying to compete this year I don’t think that’s what it was. Dez was well liked around here (live in DFW). The problem was that he was a top paid player who didn’t want to take a pay cut when they asked him to when his play slipped. I don’t think it was bad for him to do that, the players can only play so long and teams imo should honor contracts they sign.
  17. The top receiver last year stats wise on this team didn’t have that many rec yards. If anyone is using that to say he’s trash what does that say about what we got here now? Thing is we have 11 million in space now. If all it was gonna take was a spot on the 53 and a 4-5 million dollar deal why not pick him up? I tried to explain to him that there are lots of reasons players sit out and don’t sign but it wasn’t understood. No one should paint a brush saying because a guys not signed it means he is terrible or a locker room cancer or any other thing to discredit the man. That’s simply not the case. In this case if Dez wanted any job he would have one. Some just hate the guy, some think of all of the ex Cowboys players and the memory makes them hate the idea. I come at this as what would help the team and ignore the past that’s all. Don’t mean to start any argument just voicing my opinion. I know it’s highly unlikely to sign Dez but I do think he would help the team Jerry no longer calls the shots in Dallas, his son took over a while back. So what does 4-5 million a season get an NFL team for receivers? https://overthecap.com/position/wide-receiver Ryan Grant makes 5 million a season, Torrey Smith gets 5 myillion a season, so does Terrell Pryor. Isn’t Dez better then those guys?
  18. Your probably right but you can convince me that Dez wouldn’t help the group He was one of the inactives yesterday. Concussions tend to reappear for those that get them. Not to mention Quick might be a stud teamer but what the team needs is a chunk receiver who will make plays and that’s not Brian Quick High ankle sprains take between four and six weeks to recover from normally if no surgery. This is awful news for the receiver group I think your making way too much out of him not signing based on this and the other posts you made in this thread. First Dez is picky and not just signing to get a paycheck. If all he wanted was a check he’d be on a team now. Some players sabotage themselves with their demands. The narrative about Kap is he is blackballed when the truth is he won’t sign for under 10 million a season. Same with Dez, he wants to goto a good fit team and wants to play against the Cowboys. That eliminates a lot of the teams out there. This smacks in the face of the narrative he is all washed up to me. Given the news about two players on the 53 going to be out for a while adding him makes much more sense then adding a practice squad guy with no expirence or trying out the Brian Quick expirament again imo A month minimum could be the season for them if the ligament damage is severe. Not ruling out surgery yet smells very bad to me, might be the worst case
  19. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2018/09/dez-bryant-interested-in-joining-patriots-redskins?fv-home=true&post-id=118221 “Washington is cool as well” Depending on price why not?
  20. Don’t think much of Brian Quicks leadership potential. He’s got the expirence factor down but he’s also on his second team and a career which has gone on 6 seasons sub 1600 yards receiving. Definition of bleh to me
