  1. Dude I thought it was my tv. I was just about to ask yall. The noise finally went off.
  2. I think Jim Caldwell will be a great choice for oc. He's not coaching now and I think he will sign here and be a great one year rental if Rivera gets fired next year.
  3. Roll the dice with Howell as a starter. Take Heinicke clearly as a backup and mentor Howell. We can save a lot of money going this route and fix the oline and resign Payne. People might not like this but keep Turner for next season. I think it will hurt Howell if he would have to learn three offensive systems in his first three years if being here.
  4. What do you think Payne will be asking for?
  5. I believe Scott Turner will be here next year. I don't think Ron will let him go. I don't see anyone wanting to come here as an oc knowing they will be looking for another job after next season with the new owner in place.
  6. That last part of the video with Rivera didn't know we could be eliminated got me dying laughing.
  7. What I was saying is keep the staff for next year. It might have came out wrong but what I was trying to say if Rivera gets fired now then Howell has to learn another system. If Rivera fires Scott then Howell as to learn a new system. If Rivera gets fired after next year then Howell has to learn another system.
  8. Rivera is going to be our coach next year. Dan isn't firing him with what's all going on. Rivera has another year to show the new owner he's the guy. With Howell you have to start him next year. Fix the o-line, resign Payne. Heinicke has mobility and won us games with his knowledge of Scott Turner's system even though with his lack of arm talent. Howell has a great deep ball and arm strength and mobility. He just needs another offseason with this system and first team reps. I believe Howell is a perfect fit for Scott Turner's offense. If Ron fires Scott then you get a new OC that Howell would have to learn and if Rivera gets fired after next year with the new owner then Howell will have to learn another offensive system. That's setup for failure. Keep the staff and let Howell succeed which I believe he will.
  9. I'm loving the defense swarming to the ball. Looking forward to next near with Howell. I'm hoping Ron goes with him next year
  10. I apologize if I made you mad and don't agree of how I post but I post like we're talking face to face and I will post better since this is a message board. I can admit that. I explain myself of what I'm trying to say too much but it's not like what you think. I know their is people on here that don't like me I'm assuming, but im not that guy trust me. I'll post better and that's it. I don't mean any harm so my bad man. I understand what you were saying but I'm not like that.
  11. My bad man, I apologize if you took it that way. You didn't want Carr in the first place and I responded by saying what I said but some times I post like that cause we aren't talking face to face and I was just saying what I think would happen. I wasn't calling you out or anything so my bad man.
  12. I don't see any legit free agent QB or trade coming here with the situation with the owner about to sell. We offered for Stafford a couple years ago but got outbid but apparently he didn't want to come here. I believe we offered a lot for Wilson but he had a no trade clause and didn't want to come here in which I'm so glad he didn't accept that at the time with the draft capital we had to offer and the way he performed this year. Maybe but it's a long shot to get Brady here. Fix the oline and get him for year and let Howell sit and learn again.
  13. Carr isn't coming here. He has a no trade clause which means if he gets traded he can basically pick what team he wants to go to. Their was a report the other day saying he wants to go to a team with a Owner and head coach that has a strong relationship. I'm not saying Rivera and Snyder doesn't get along, but Snyder is gone and more likely Rivera too unless he makes the playoffs with the new owner.
  14. Rivera said that Howell wouldn't be judged fully on one game. He's not going to have Robinson or Gibson and he's working with a crap offensive line. We need Howell to show that he can be a starter for this team. I'm hoping he can ball out Sunday and I think he will. There will be some mistakes I'm sure. I don't see this team trading for a QB or drafting one. Why draft a QB when you don't know about Howell even after one game? They tried to trade for Quarterbacks but nobody wanted to come here. Rivera has one year left to show the new owner he's got it and Howell might be his only option. I think we should resign Heinicke as a backup with no threat of competing for a starting job. Heinicke is not a full starter but if Howell gets hurt and misses a game or two Heinicke will come in and win you games thats what you want for a backup to do. I think he will go and resign somewhere elsewhere imo. Take your chance with Howell and resign Payne and address the offensive line. If Howell doesn't work out we will get a top pick with a new owner and head coach and they can pick their QB. We save 28M with Wentz gone after this season. No way in hell Rivera is drafting a QB in the 1st round with basically one year left to prove himself. I will add too that the people wanting Carr he's not coming here. I believe he has a no trade clause in his contract and he won't come here. Someone posted the other day showing a screenshot of Carr wanting to go to a team with a owner and head coach having a great relationship. That's not here. We can't get Rodgers cause to my understanding the cap hit for the Packers trading him will take them back years to do anything. Slight chance with Brady. Idk if he will be a free agent or for trade. Selling the team and more likely a new coach after next year puts us into a tough position this off season of finding a QB. Revamp this oline with the cap money we will have and again sign Payne and hope Howell works out.
  15. I just posted about sceniores but didn't see your post. At the end of the day with no 8th seed now and Mike Florio is nothing but a clickbait artist, I'm still going to watch to see how Howell does and hopefully he plays well and gives us some confidence going into the offseason.
  16. If we win and Seahawks lose we will be in automatically in. If the Packers and Lions tie we would have the same record as both of the Lions and Packers. Lions will get the 7th seed cause they beat us and we will get the 8th seed over the Packers since we beat them. If they didn't tie we would have the edge over the team that loses cause we have the same amount of wins but one less loss then them. Though I don't think the NFL will do the 8th seed now. It's Thursday night and I believe their is games on Saturday? I don't see them announcing this when we're at the end of the week now. Who knows it could happen but I believe someone posted earlier of a screenshot that Vincent the NFLPA head man had no knowledge of the NFL going to an 8th seed apparently when asked but that was from a guy that apparently watched the press conference.
  17. If their doing this I'm assuming they will add an 8th seed.
  18. I misread the article. I think it will have no byes for any team.
  19. If this goes down and for the people that wanted to know. We need to beat Dallas and Seahawks has to lose. If the packers and lions tie we would have the same record as both of them. Lions would get 7th seed cause they beat us we would get 8th seed over the packers since we beat them. If the Seahawks tie idk what's happens. I think it's goes to NFC record I think. Anyways I know me typing on this topic is a waste of time but we will see.
  20. I agree after reading your post and just thinking. I don't see the joy us in the playoffs because someone almost died or technically did die on the field. If somehow the NFL did this I will still root for the team. I read an article that if the NFL does go this route the top two seed would get a bye. 8vs3, 7vs4, 6vs5.
  21. I just remembered we beat the packers earlier if they lost and Seahawks lost wouldn't we have the tie breaker over them or that might not matter since we have a tie but same amount of wins but less losses then the packers. It's a long shot but the NFL might do it. More ratings and more money.
  22. So if we beat Dallas and Packers beat the lions and the Seahawks lose we can get the 8th seed? If they choose to do an 8th seed.
  23. I understand what your saying, but their is no point for Heinicke to play this game this week against Dallas in his mind. Wentz played against the the Eagles and took 9 sacks I believe. Heinicke wins against an undefeated Eagles team and played well but fumbled in that game too. Which imo had no time. The oline needs to be addressed first and foremost. With Howell playing if he lights it up I'm super pumped going in the off season, but that doesn't mean he's the future but in my mind you have to give him a chance next year. If he flashes Sunday and takes sacks or fumbles depending on the situation cause he has no time I know the problem.
  24. I think it's more that Heinicke is asking himself why should I play a game that doesn't matter when my head coach benched me and put Wentz in to have a spark when I helped the team to get into playoff contention and caused the spark earlier in the season. With the Browns game our total offense was the worst since the Bears game and in that game Wentz was the starting QB. He's telling himself why risk a series injury when I will be a free agent in the off season and can make more money if team decides to sign me as a backup or bridge QB. Cause if Heinicke plays Sunday for instance and gets seriously hurt that will draw teams away from looking at him as a backup or bridge QB. I believe he will be a backup for some team in the NFL. He has his flaws but he does what backups are supposed to do and win. When other teams studying film to see if they should sign him they will say "his offensive line is garbage".
