Play calling for a head coach is not the end all, particularly when the guy we are coveting is an OC and not the HC. Dan Campbell doesn’t call plays, it’s Ben Johnson. So find yourself a coach (be it offense or defense), then get yourself the right coordinators and let them lead that side of the ball; if Ben doesn’t work out.

Last year the Texans won 3 games. This year they win 10 games, make the playoff and now have a playoff win. I wonder if there were Texan fans wanting to keep Davis Mills because “he was not put in a good position to win”. In the famous words of Stacey King, “big time players make big time plays”. The Texans aren’t magically better. Stroud made them better. We need to find that QB.

..not firing Ron during the season helps also. It shows an ownership group who is mature, supportive and rational. Everyone knew Ron needed to go, Harris giving him the entire year is huge when it comes to bringing talent here.

Last game of the season, draft pick on the line, against a putrid Jets team playing their backup, to their backup QB and all the Patriots can muster is a FG. They are tanking to keep their draft position as high as possible. Bill is not that stupid. I can never underestimate the history between this team and the Murphy’s Law with this damn franchise. If it stays close it will be scary.

Let’s hope whoever we pick ends up being the right move. On a side note: I feel bad for the Panther fans. They are blaming Bryce’s struggles on the offensive line, the WRs and how he wasn’t put in a position to succeed when comparing him to Stroud - almost discrediting what Stroud has done. Come on man, let’s not forget the Texans only had 3 wins last year. Good teams don’t win 3 games. Stroud has made that team what it is today.
