  1. If Fields could net a 1st, Howell could net 2 or 3 1st.
  2. Come on now, Rivera gets a ***stud this week for getting us a high draft pick.
  3. Primary issue no. He’s a talented QB. This isn’t a Haskins situation. Howell can actually play in the NFL. He did struggle though.
  4. I started seeing it early in the year when people kept blaming the offensive line, which I agree sucks, however, Sam often runs into the sack or at least heads towards the commotion instead of maneuvering himself into the pocket however small that pocket be and manipulate the pocket thus create the pocket for himself. The good QBs can do this. It’s no different then some running backs who constantly run into their own lineman.
  5. I’m one of the least optimistic people on this board. I tend to lean more in the notion that stars show up regardless and we lack star talent. With that said, we have a new ownership group and it still may take years to get this right. There will be other draft classes with top QB talent available. There always is.
  6. The term “Creating the pocket” is funnier to you then “seeing ghosts”?
  7. I still remember Matt Flynn and Sam Bradford getting traded for huge picks.
  8. Now I have to come in here and defend him grr. He’s way better than Ramsey but yes your point is taken.
  9. Why does evidence need to be provided for you. Just look at the game and you should be able to see the product on the field same as the “trolls” see it. Sam while talented was clearly “part” of the problem. He struggles to check down, does not create the pocket, he does not see the hot read and has some very questionable INTs and sacks that fall fully on him.
  10. The amount of collateral would be too much and I doubt any team trades out of that pick. If we naturally get it, then so be it.
  11. 100% true. Brissett is not the answer long term. Coming in cold can have that affect on a team. We saw in preseason he looked really good early then stunk in next few games. We just can’t afford to win at this point.
  12. It’s just funny. He hasn’t improved like at all and yet there he is.
  13. That’s the beauty of it. If we’re not in position to take a top one this year, it’s not the end of the world to run it back with him next year. He’s shown “signs” so maybe something will click over the off season. As for the line, yes it sucks. The example I always give, is sometimes QBs can make a bad line look worse while another QB can make that same line look slightly better. RG3 made the line look awful. Kirk came in and within the same year, the line looked better. Sam does not know how to do that yet.

  15. Thank goodness the coach staff sucks and we lost a lot of time there. Hopefully Rams don’t screw this up.
  16. It wasn’t week one. I’m not thaaaaat bad. With that said, I’m still okay with them running it back with him next year because he has shown some talent but if a QB is there, I’d absolutely take him.
  17. It’s just hilarious. When I called out Sam, you were so eager to call me a hater. But now when YOU are ready to call him out…it’s somehow okay. It’s okay, I’m not mad at you. I knew eventually you’d come around and see what some of us were seeing 2+ months back. Welcome to the club man. You can now move the goal post and say you always “knew” Sam was the a part of the issue.
  18. LMAO, you were literally defending this guy weeks ago by calling me a hater. It’s why I never say anything to anyone. Eventually they come around and see what others see earlier.
  19. Who cares about Sweat. Glad he is having a solid year and doing great with the Bears but he was not that amazing while he was here and that was the crux of it. Preston Smith also did well his first year in GreenBay, then reverted back to his average at best self.
  20. We may not even get a good GM/front office and coach. These people don’t grow on trees. The better ones probably already have a job. Might take a few hiring/firings to get it right which could be a few more additional years.
