Which receivers have blossomed in year 4+ after sucking as bad as Docston has his first 3 years? I always hear that WRs take time to develop but most good ones I know make a splash from day one. At least recent memory.

This team can’t figure out how to get a solid pitching bench. Its been like this for years.

The correlation between not having All-Pro’s and a terrible yearly record is evident. We do not know how to draft elite level. Missing out on Watt to draft Kerrigan. Drafting Landry over Peterson. Taking Payne instead of Derwin James.

The guy that created this thread, unfortunately thinks similarly to what our front office thinks. Now that is dangerous. It's one thing for fans to feel this is a good receiving corps, but it's utterly baffling that the organization thought so as well.

Doctson seems like the type of guy who will be open but not get the ball thrown to him (for whatever reason), yet when it is thrown to him, he will drop the pass.

Doctson is a complete mystery and so far he is a complete waste of a roster spot. We can't blame Kirk anymore. With Alex here, it was a fresh start but Doctson still can't take that next step. I don't know if it's his draft position, or this elusive potential that keeps him around but what exactly does he do for this team? Is he drawing the best corner, or double coverage? I have no idea, at least that would be one positive. This guy must be killer in practice for them to continue giving him a chance because it's certainly not his in-game ability. At least not from a casual observer. It seems like he has only one play assigned to him....deep pass. Can he not run slants or outs/crossing patterns? Something to use his big build against he defender and actually contribute. Just so damn frustrating. Either use him (right) or get him out of here and find someone who can catch 2 passes a game.

Not at all. They are a losing franchise who is trying to change the culture of their club. They have stuck by this guy for a billion years and if they have any inclination that he once again abused their trust, eventually you have to break ties. Browns have done everything in their power to stick by him, but at a certain point, you really do have to move on. I hope he lands on his feet, which I'm sure he will but I also don't blame the Browns one bit.

I don’t know much about Richardson but speed in the NFL doesn’t work that way. Just because he is fast doesn’t mean he will be wide open. Now, Desean...that mutha****er was fast. He was a guy who would be wide open. Guys like that don’t come often.

To piggy back off this, we do it to ourselves every year. We didn't need Garcon or Jackson because "hey we got Pryor who was awesome in Cleveland and he didn't even have a QB there", plus "Doctson will have more of a chance". I need two solid years from this ****ed up franchise before I start thinking cup half-full lol

1. Reed is our best receiver but he has trouble staying healthy. 2. Crowder is awesome, started slow last year and somewhat injured but I can count on him. 3. Thompson is special but he too has an injury history 4. Vernon, great back up. You don't want him playing too much due to age, but guy is awesome. 5. Doctson, could go either way. Had flashes but I'm not counting on him yet. 6. Richardson, basically same stats as Doctson also has injury history. 7. Everyone else are JAGs, and I have little faith they will be anything other than JAGs So with that said, no our receiving corp is not shaping up nicely. We have several injury prone, unproven or JAGs on this team. They could turn out to be awesome, but I see nothing that screams wow.
