  1. Check out Strong as well, assuming his knee holds up.
  2. You'll see my rankings quite a few pages back and It remains today. What I feel is better for our team specifically would be Howell, Pickett, Corral. I'm not touching Willis or Ridder. I like Carson Strong quite a bit as well for our offense.
  3. there's a lot of buzz around the Ravens backup kicker Jake Verity. Apparently he's a hot commodity. If he's on their PS, can't we just sign him to our active roster and release Blewitt?
  4. This isn't new. They've continuously done this to get better. Stafford, Ramsey, Miller, etc.
  5. Use the Rams model.... draft picks are just too hit or miss. I used to think it was dumb, now the Rams are the top NFC team
  6. Rams getting Von Miller.... They are the NFC team to beat
  7. The only problem is McKissic, in my opinion, is actually better than Gibson right now and stays healthy + no fumbling issues. I'd like to see more McKissic and Patterson. I think Gibson has the tools but he's dancing behind the line a lot more trying to make a play as opposed to putting his head down like he used to. And his fumbling issues and durability are on the verge of becoming bigger issues.
  8. 1. A. Rodgers 2. R. Wilson 3. D. Watson (assuming cleared) 4. D. Carr 5. S. Howell 6. K. Pickett 7. M. Corral 8. M. Ryan 9. C. Strong 10. M. Willis 11. D. Ridder
  9. Watching the Bosa's, especially Nick Bosa from last night, there is a tremendous gap between the talent-level... They are game-changers. With the DT's we have, he should be absolutely feasting similar to Orakpo when Haynesworth decided to play.
  10. safest prospects for us need not be huge projects like Ridder/Willis and to some extent, Corral. Though it could be said that this is a somewhat weak QB draft class. It's a defensive draft. Willis may have the highest ceiling if everything went perfect. Pickett and Strong are probably the most NFL ready but as others have mentioned, Pickett is an older prospect and is coming 'on' in his 4th or 5th year at Pitt. Strong is accurate as hell but stiff. I stand by Howell and his early play has gotten cleaner as of late. It's a tough year for us, naturally, to be looking for a QB in the draft.
  11. John Keim indicated Tim Settle could be on the trading block since we have DT depth and he's coming to a contract year. I like Settle, I am not sure how i'd feel about that. Giants potentially shopping Jabrill Peppers..... I think we should have Collins on the trade block as well.
  12. Oh I agree 100% on Watson, my point being he's clearly the better talent and is proven. We've done enough measured bets, and our IR room is always full.
  13. Howell has it. He is a gamer. Same with Corral, though i'd give the edge to Howell since I don't like to base my judgements off of one year. To me, Howell is more of a Mayfield and Corral is similar to Derek Carr. Willis is a tough sell for me. I'm not huge on running qb's with accuracy issues. They'll get figured out in the pros. He just hasn't played against any real talent and that's too risky for a team like ours to gamble on. Corral is super dynamic though I'd still give the edge to Howell. In fact, even Pickett may make more sense to the WFT since he's looked the most pro-ready.
  14. Are people seriously trying to convince themselves to fall for Tua? An overrated, injury prone QB who was benched 3x for a guy who sits on our IR and is already on the block after being drafted last year..... Wild! We don't and shouldn't settle for a consolation prize. Watson is the prize, if anything. Otherwise, draft our own. Tua meet Rosen, Rosen meet Tua.
  15. I'd say Curl is borderline pro-bowler. He's amazing on the field. He might just be the best defensive player we have
  16. Tom Pelissero ✔@TomPelissero End of an era: The Washington Football Team is releasing veteran kicker Dustin Hopkins and promoting Chris Blewitt to the active roster.

  18. It's not a good idea to look at a down season and think the talent is forgotten. I say this in regards to the QB position and specifically what teams did in regards to Justin Herbert. He was still the best QB on draft day. I think the same goes for Sam Howell. He's tops in this QB class IMO. 1. Sam Howell 2. Matt Corral 3. Kenny Pickett 4. Carson Strong 5. Malik Willis
  19. Heinicke just can't make decisions anywhere near quick enough. Guys are open for periods of time while he's scanning the field and often throws it way too late, thus giving the defender time to make up the ground and/or intercept the ball... A good QB would thrive in this offense with the way our OLine has performed. We wouldn't be having these offensive issues and perhaps would be able to take some pressure off of the defense being on the field the whole game.
