I think Latham just murdered Roger Goodell with that bear hug lift.

WOW, Shefter saying the Falcons might take a QB here.
Pressing X to doubt, BUT there's a logic here. Green Bay has been very successful with their "draft a guy and sit him 3 years" strategy, there are worse ideas than trying to do that with Kirk.

Jones has diced us up for two years man.
okay but that's an "us" thing. Jones still sucks more generally.

Nabers to NY. While I don't want the Giants to have anything good ever, at least Daniel Jones is still their QB, and that's what matters.

Alt and not Latham, interesting. But I think right, Alt is just too good.

This front office is very process oriented, and so I know this decision was made taking everything they could into account. The easy thing to do would have been to just stick with Maye, so moving off of him suggests there was a lot they loved about Daniels.
The fact that Kliff might not have known who the pick was actually is potentially a good thing, suggests they didn't pick to fit the guy to Kliff, but expect Kliff to fit the offense to the QB, as it should.

I do appreciate that Saban lost sleep over this guy.

Now I mainly want to see where Maye goes and hope that it's not NY.
Then we can chill for a bit until like 20, then we gotta pay attention again.

JJ wasn’t one of the fifteen best players they faced when they played Michigan.
Can you imagine the absolutely inkly blackness of the shade if someone asked how good JJ was and Saban said "he was pretty good, easily in the top 25 on that Michigan team."

I saw a mock where Rome somehow fell to like 15 and was like, man...I don't wanna spend both 36 and 40 to move up but Rome is one of those guys I might do it for.

What if Giants are tryna drum up Maye hype hoping we change course and take him so they can get Daniels (I don't believe this bc I think Maye reminds them of Eli and they miss Eli so bad).

Washington is a terrible landing spot.
Ehhhh pre-FA I'd agree but we really solidified the interior OL and our skill position players are pretty okay. Sure they aren't great but I'd mark them as pretty okay. If we can get a RT in the draft or even an RT/LT and another RT later, plus a WR, and maybe a high upside TE, our offense will be chugging.
Now yes that would require some major sitting on defensive players in the draft. We'd have to go like QB, RT/LT, WR, RT, TE with the first 5 picks, and couldn't touch defense until later.
But the offense would be pretty stacked if those picks hit.

Lol, now I'm imagining Kliff following GMAP around the facility going "Adam please I beg you tell me who we're taking. PLEASE." And Peters is like "nope, you'll find out on Christma-I mean draft day." And Kliff is like "but Adam I need to uhhh, prep their practice and development plan, yeah," and Peters is like "now now you and I both know you'll have plenty of time to do that between draft day and when we start camp."
And Kliff storms off angry and pouting.

Jayden will be an interesting, and unless the Giants/Cowboys/Eagles take him (so really only the Giants to worry about), a hopefully successful, experiment.
He imo represents the 2nd wave of dual threat QBs drafted highly post Jackson.
It's interesting bc 13 of the top 25 qb rushing seasons all time have happened since Jackson in 2018 and Jackson owns 6 of them himself. Before him it's was a random guy having a big year here or there, with basically only Vick and Newton having big seasons.
I think in the 2011-2012 time frame the Newton/RGIII/Wilson crew was sort of a 2nd wave to Vick's 1st wave, but after RGIII was injured and Wilson was never THAT much of a rusher outside of 2014. So it was just Newton.
But this go around you've got Jackson leading with a decent number of others sticking around.
Now we're far enough into Jackson's career that people are seeing that success, and that guys like Allen and Hurts can emulate it somewhat, and that's driving up draft stock for guys like Jayden. He certainly earned a high spot because of his passing, but what separates, say, Penix and Daniels, in large part (not all) is Daniels' legs.
So now we will get to see if Jayden leads a finalization of the normalization of the dual threat QB.

I'm gonna go ahead and blame Jayden's mom for him being so skinny.
She's a good punching bag for blame for things, ASU violations, dissatisfaction with TopGolf, so let's add in that Jayden doesn't eat enough.
Send that kid to a Korean BBQ or five. Get him some Bon Chon. Take him to Badd Pizza and Lost Dog Cafe.
We'll turn him into Anthony Richardson yet.
