Hopefully they can put something together this season. They have been pretty poor since Gary left. I was looking at the recruiting page on ESPN and god damn a lot of schools take players right from under Maryland. Its crazy to think what Williams could have done with the program if he just played ball with the recruiting frenzy. I put a couple of Football teams above Maryland that I root for (Arkansas, Penn State, Marshall). But for Basketball the only team above Maryland that I root for is Arkansas.

How is this years Basketball class looking? I remember I heard a few months ago that they got 3 top 100 players in the class but idk if any of them pulled out.

My moms side are immigrants from Sicily. My gramps, great uncles and great aunt. When we go to Milwaukee they cook all day and yell at each other in Italian and give my mom **** for not speaking Italian anymore.

I'd like to say that Maryland has already exceeded my expectations this season.

Chains are pretty dog101 in general because they all get the same product and use the same microwaves. There is a quality bar set that you can't pass. The best outback is not much better than the worst outback. In terms of how food tastes and is prepared. You can't go into a chain and have something really good. Its always the same no matter where you go. I hate chains so much.

My personal opinion is that if I ever have to start thinking of ways to save a dollar or 2. I'll put a bullet in my head. No bs. That's no way to live.

If I wanted microwaved food I'd just throw some crap in my own microwave. Olive garden is crap they don't have ovens in the back its a row of microwaves. They melt Kraft singles on their pasta. People should not eat something because its a bargain or because they save money. People should eat things that are tasteful and not unfrozen via microwave. Pretty sad if you even consider eating that stuff to save money. If that's the case then its too late for you and you should start looking for a cardboard box to live in.

He is a upgrade over Boozers rainbow js. Boozer only really could score in the 1st Q then after that he was not that effective imo. And he never played D. But I think if you take last years Bulls team and take out Boozer and put in Gasol. I'm not sure if the Bulls get by the Wiz still. I mean of course the series would have gone to at least 6 most likely 7. But at the end of the day the Bulls could not score as well as the Wiz and when it got late in the series and late in games it was clear that the Bulls were just worn down from all those minutes. And it became even harder for them to make baskets. Idk how much Gasol will change that. I think it really depends on Rose obviously as I am sure you agree. Compete for the EFC with Rose or at best get to the 2nd round with out him.

Nah you confused my point. My point is that a 34 Gasol is barely better than Boozer. Aka Gasol is not as good anymore and won't make as much of a difference. I know how bad Boozer is. Thibs runs his starters into the damn ground. Didn't he play with a 8 man rotation in the playoffs? Was making people play ridiculous amounts of time. I don't see how Gasol is going to hold up when at times even Noah was gasping for air and thibs still didnt take him out for more than like 2 minutes.

I keep seeing people saying the Bulls can win the East. But a 34 year old Gasol is not really a upgrade over Boozer. Then they lost a legit spark coming off the bench with DJ. I'm also under the assumption that Rose won't last 40 games. Even with Rose they are going to struggle to score. The one thing that they do have tho is 2 of the best defensive bigmen in the league. The Cavs weakness is going to be in the paint. Besides Love they really don't have anyone who is going to be able to crash the boards. So maybe the Bulls can take advantage of that. But really I just can't see them competing at all if Rose is not back to 100%. I don't really think the Wiz would be able to win a series against the Cavs either unless Beal makes a major jump to a 25ppg. Wall also needs to be able to hang around 20 and 9 per game. Even if those things happen The Wiz really don't have the talent upfront to be a legitimate threat to the East with the cavs in the way. Marcin is a good solid player and Nene is a good solid player they also have a lot of depth now but they really don't have the defensive talent in the paint to stop Bron going to the rim or Love. Really the East depends on the health of Rose and Love. Because remember Love has missed a lot of games in his career so has Kyrie.

If The Heat didn't win a ring with Bosh, Wade and Bron the 1st year then I don't think Bron has a great chance this year. Bosh Wade( a few years younger) and Bron is > Kyrie (currently) Love and Bron

I pull for MD but you're seriously drinking the kool aid if you think they win more than 3 games this year. Maryland football is a joke. The Big10 is a better Football conference than the ACC. The kids at UMD are not use to prime time games. They are going to freeze up under the lights. Iowa ain't no joke just because it had a poor year in the conference does not mean its a bad team. UCF is not a joke either. Hell JMU might put up a fight against Maryland. Maryland is going to beat JMU, Cuse and Indiana and call it a day. You think UMD is going to go on the road and beat the home team that has more than 100,000 fans? Nah the players are going to freeze up. Moving to the big10 is one of the worst financial decisions they have ever made because after about 3 years only about 5 people are going to be buying Maryland tickets and merchandise. And the only way you will see them is if you scroll down to channel 9000 big10 network section 5 article 6 channel 9. How many players have left since Randy took over? The players have no faith in the program. And Edsall is going to sit here and say foolishness about how he is happy that he is going to a football conference when he just got his ass whooped by the ACC national champions FSU 63-0. So if FSU whooped his ass that bad and its not a football school then whats the big 10 going to do? Hell they might have to make UMD a DIII school in a few years. Alot of those big10 teams are in areas where Football rules all. Football over academics football over god football over everything. Its not like that at Maryland. Football don't rule Maryland like they do at other schools. I root for 3 schools. PSU, UMD and Arkansas. I love Maryland but they are in for a long dark period in their football history.

This is what we deserve. Most people are single issue voters or vote for some odd reason. Personally I don't vote because I believe that it encourages the bad behavior from politicians. Me voting for the candidates lets them know that what they are doing is okay. Well its not okay. Our 2 party political system and economy are going to have to burn to the ground before things really change. Politicians use to be afraid of voters they would hold their promises. Now voters are **** on. They don't respect you only view you as tickets to power. Every person who holds office needs to be voted out everyone. People need to look for the people running that actually care. The people that are not yet bought off by major companies. Currently almost none of those people run for office. But if we start replacing all the cancers in office with people who care then more of those people might start to run. Too long have seats been passed down to groomed replacements. But I'm a realist. That will not happen people are too far programmed. Things won't change it will only get worse. A lot of bad things are going to have to happen for people to see that they are being screwed by everyone. Maybe then it will change or maybe not. The people are the ones with power the ones that vote not the politicians and I don't think our country realizes that.

Yes more ideological warfare is just what we need. Both sides are so quick to point the finger instead of the people looking at their reps. People generalize each others parties so pathetically its like you don't even know any Republicans or democrats besides what you see on tv. People get off to watching the other party get hanged. People are nutjobs too busy screaming at each other to stop and realize that everything they are fed is BS. You get your emotions taken advantage of. The media and the reps play people like puppets. Using trigger words and subjects to distract you. Manipulated like children. Die for your party yo. Put your sets up.

KD and Lebron are not superstars those are gods. Superstar is a notch below those 2 players. John is not a god he is a superstar tho. Wall is a legitimate star. The only reason he is not a superstar is because too many people focus on only ppg and individual stats. John is such a damn good distributor. But sadly because he doesn't put up 25+ ppg so no one plays with him on NBA 2k which means he is not a superstar. His vision is so damn on point its not even funny he sees things before they happen he sucks people into the paint with his speed and can kick it out. He goes up for a jumper and can dish it across the court for a wide open 3. He can thread the ball thru traffic like no other player besides CP. John can makes the players around him better and that is what makes him a superstar.

My East Projections (Playoff seeding) Please take into mind that a division winner is guaranteed a top 3 seeding and the Cavs, Bulls and Pacers are all in the same division. 1. Cavs (Lebron makes them the regular season favorite but the frontcourt is a huge weakness. Can't count on Varejao or Haywood to bang with better bigs and Thompson is good but not great he will get pushed around. Won't win with this frontcourt) 2. Bullets (They made huge jumps with the frontcourt depth 2 finesse bigs with Nene and Gortat and 2 bangers with Hump and Dejuan. Backcourt depth is still pretty bad, Miller can only give 10 min a game and no one backs up Beal could lead to injuries) 3. Raps (Don't sleep on Toronto they got a damn good lineup that is young and fast. Amir and Jonas are the perfect compliments to Demar and Lowry.) 4. Chicago (Chicago will end up 4 if you assume that Rose blows out his stale blunt wrapper knees early in the season. If Rose actually stays healthy then Bulls will be number 1 seed. They are still going to struggle to score by losing DJ coming off the bench. Even with Gasol that O will struggle to put up 95 a game if you don't count Rose) 5. Pacers (Team chemistry is still a ? and losing Lance hurts) 6. Miami (Don't count on Wade to play more than 50 games this season. Bosh is going to go back to his Toronto days and average a solid 24-25 ppg but he can't do it by himself. Deng is on the decline and has too many injury concerns to last long term. Bench is non existent.) 7. Atlanta (If they stay healthy the whole season) 8. Toss up between Bobcats and Pistons. I expect the Pistons to do better with a legit coach now. But the Bobcats Defense is no damn joke.
