  1. I'd love to know how close they were to getting Stone Cold.  Like, I'm a fan of Taker, but we see him around. Cena too. We don't see Stone Cold anymore on WWE TV.  And if he's gonna show up, Taker in sweats doesn't hit the same.  The gong does, but then when he's standing there looking ordinary, it felt.like he was doing them a solid and filling in at the last minute.

I get imagination shouldn't equal expectation, but not getting the glass shattering and SCSA  clearing the ring of the Bloodline and stunning Rock for one last oversell was a bummer.

How about special teams?  Anything mentioned about him?

Amazing.  You go from our last HC and DC which were both LBs and we lacked their entire tenure, or they couldn't find talent.  Now our new HC has peppered this roster with LBs.  :)

Six new LBs on the roster. Jamin Davis looks like the only LB returning. And if he doesn't pick it up, in a year, he could be gone too.

Cleveland Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff revealed he received threats from gamblers last season and reported it to the NBA.

While being asked Wednesday night about sports gambling following comments made by Pacers All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, who said he sometimes feels like a "prop," Bickerstaff said gamblers contacted him.

"They got my telephone number and were sending me crazy messages about where I live and my kids and all that stuff," Bickerstaff said before the Cavs hosted the Miami Heat. "So it is a dangerous game and a fine line that we're walking for sure."

I'm sure Adam Silver would rather he not have mentioned that.  lol

Well, if Keim said it then he'd be in the know.  Josh Jones maybe. I really don't know but we will sign a LT vet, I would think.  We may wait for another cut to occur too.  Slim but possible.

Well, there's only really 4 pure starting LT options available and Leno is one of them. I mean, there's bodies out there, but most of them are RT or backup swing tackle types, like Cornelius Lucas, who is out there too.

Now, as you mentioned, there could be a cut.  We got Leno a few years back in May after the draft, I think.  But you're not really aiming high when you're waiting around for somebody.

Darrisaw would have solved the LT issue for a decade.  Not an obscure player.  An obvious pick.  but leave it to Ron with his "outside the box" thinking of taking a WLB who most thought would go in the 2nd round instead.

I always wondered how those decisions actually get made, in reality.  Because the college scouting staff that put together those draft boards is still there.  Peters probsbly wont make a bunch of changes there until after this draft.  So I highly doubt Ron had a room full of Darrisaw supporters and went and made a unilateral decision to reach for Jamin Davis there.

  6.

Looking at who they signed already, the glaring holes still left are starting LT, CB, WR.

I feel like there's at least 2-3 semi-big moves out there left to be had.  I think one of these top 2-3 free agent tackles comes here.  I think Fuller might wind up being back, because these corners ain't it that are on this roster at the moment.  And then a wild card, like trading for Tee Higgins and then paying him or something like that.  Factoring in money for the rookie pool, they still got like $60-something mil left.

Frankly, I need more competiton at left guard.  I'm not comfortable with automatically slotting in Allegretti as the starting LG.  A lot of folks assumed Wylie was moving inside, but there's been no rumblings that's in the plans right now.  And they're not signing people to facilitate that.  Signing a right and left tackle would work for me.

I think they focus on getting depth at LB and OL in the draft.  And WR if they have no appetite for getting Higgins, or Williams or any of these WRs out there now.

I actually wouldnt hate Williams as a swing tackle. But he wont do that. And I hope that's what Wiley eventually ends up being for us. I would cot count out resigning Leno once the results of his surgery come out either. They couldnt pay him 15 Mill plus with his age and that injury. But if he comes out healthy they may be able to resign him for less.

From a swing tackle perspective, I'm not opposed to bringing Lucas back. I always felt that if he had to play, I wasnt particularly concerned about it. If he was in the game, he'd be adequate.

We're going to have to start Dorance because of a lack of better options, but he's a rotational edge who has never played more than 540 snaps in a season before.  Toohill and JSW are UFAs and might not be here this year, but neither are starting caliber anyway.

In the middle, our only back ups are Ridgeway and Mathis.  I have doubts that Mathis makes the roster, and Ridgeway is pretty bad.  The depth in the interior is basically gone, and we're going to be in a position where an Allen or Payne injury kills us if we don't do something about it.

I dont see a whole lot of difference between Toohill and Ferrell.  I guess Fowler is a situational pass rusher, but he's always seemed better than he actually is.  He's always been a little underwhelming, IMO.

And I'm a little wary of Armstrong and Fowler eating off Parsons being a terror.  If Payne and Allen can do their thing inside, then maybe Fowler can replicate the year he had when he was with Aaron Donald Inside.

I kinda disagree on Ridgeway.  As a backup DT, he's fine.  He had his moments.  As a rotational guy, you could do a lot worse.  I think with Quinn, we'll see guys possible put in better positions to succeed.

49m 2 year.  That team has done a complete 180 in 2 years.   They have a harder schedule this coming year but damn that team is looking solid

For 2 years, I'd have paid him that.  And put the money they gave Fowler and Ferrell towards it.  He'll probably more productive than those 2 and Armstrong combined.

My thoughts exactly. And if you did bring in Dante Fowler or Chase Young (doubtful), you completely remove DE from a "need" and even a "must target" in the draft. In fact, I would argue you've given yourself enough potential options long-term in that if one of those guys hits, you bring them back. If they don't, maybe Henry or Jones emerges as a legitimate starter. And if none of the above, you've got the 2025 off-season to address it.

I dont know if I agree with the idea this changes anything about the need.  Is there a body there, sure, but if getting to the QB or being impactful is a goal, Ferrell has shown no real ability to do that.  It'd be like saying we re-signed Casey Toohill and then said "well, DE is no longer a massive need."

ol Junior at it again. I remember when he used to be on CBS sports Radio on the AM airwaves, had a short lived show

I dont think I've ever heard him do a radio hit where he didn't mention Tiger Woods, Coach K, Bobby Knight, Season on the Brink, or Navy.  Or all of the above.

I like Samuels - he's a good player but we need to get younger and bigger at that #3 WR spot. But that makes me laugh. Since when is 10 yards a catch 'explosive'??

That's what bothered me about Samuel, he's allegedly one of the top couple fastest players on the team, if not THE fastest, but you never saw that on gameday.  Just no downfield or catch and run explosive threat whatsoever.

  13. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. It wasn't bad, but it was oddly kinda dull. And it's not that there's not action and stuff happening, it's just that I didnt care.  But I will concede, some of it might be that my enthusiasm for Indiana Jones is basically non-existent in 2024.  And I loved the first 3, but I wasn't clamoring for #5.

And not to be ageist, but Ford is just too damn old for this stuff.  Some scenes he doesn't seem so old, but then others, he looks every bit of 80-something.
