  1. Insurance company practices are foul. They keep calling my mom with Alzheimers and getting her to change her health insurance over the phone. They got her twice in a month. Then when I call to fix it, they give me the runaround saying "we don't show a legal representative on her account".  Of course you don't, you're doing this mess over the phone with a dementia patient.  Idiots. I'm her legal power of attorney already, I'm the one they should be dealing with to begin with.

I'm still looking for a OT to trade for or sign after being cut later in the year.

The more I think about it, I leave open the possibility that Leno might still be in their back pocket.  He hasn't signed because he had hip surgery, but it didn't seem major from what it sounds like.  He should be ready to go by training camp. Him or DJ Humphries as one year deal vets, if healthy.  All predicated on how well Coleman looks, I guess, if he's getting first crack at LT, keeping Lucas as the swing.

J98, how about you give our 1st year GM Adam Peters, F.O., DQ and coaching staff and Ownership a year before you judge this as being a poor draft.  Sound reasonable to you?  :)

Did I literally not say in the first line that I'm not judging it? lol That's why they play the games. I'm purely just talking about it from a personal excitement level coming out of the draft. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not predicting the careers of these guys.

Having said that, people only say dont judge it when they think they did a good job.  Cuz there's no shortage of "it was an awesome draft and they did a good job" posts out here.  That judging is OK, I guess.

  4. I'm not gonna grade the draft, but there's nobody that I'm particularly enthused about seeing outside of Daniels.  I was hoping for another starter somewhere, but I don't really forsee that.  But we'll see.

Get these Bills off the stage and announce the dang pick

That pre-pick announcement stuff is painful.  Guys getting the mic and going into business for themselves.  I even wanted Darrell to shut up and get on with the pick.  lol  Get up there announce the pick, get on to the next one.

Did we sign Tom Brady yet? Perfect mentor for Maye.

I do wonder at what point can Brady simply just not do it anymore. Something tells me, that at 47, he can probably still be top 20 QB in the right situation.

    No ****...

17ppg is still less then 23 ppg...so is he regressing in that context?  Either way it sounds like we screwing up his development l, which continues to be my overall point with respect to our overall "team building" strategy right now...

At no point was he averaging 23ppg.  His best month was 18ppg in April, which was only 5 games.

I guess we see it differently, he actually is developing and getting better every year.  He's getting confidence, he's adding things to his game, he's more efficient.  I dont see what the problem is.  He's not a star, but he's a good, promising young player.

    Breakout?

He's averaging 13 ppg right, he was averaging 11 last year.

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/k/kispeco01.html

At some point towards end of last year he was averaging what Beal was, close to 23 ppg.  major disappointment in my book he's barely averaging half that.

You want to make case he's improving, sure, I guess, numbers technically support that.  Be nice as a 1st round pick he's averaging at least 15 next season, 20 by year 5.

You're not looking at him in context.  Cuz he's basically been different once they dumped Unseld and he started getting more minutes.  His numbers were suppressed because he was only getting about 20-21 minutes a night.  Basically, since February, he's 30+ mpg and averaging 17ppg since Keefe has been there, which is the last 30-40 games.  As far as Kispert is concerned, it was coaching holding him back, not the player.

  8. I'd love to know how close they were to getting Stone Cold.  Like, I'm a fan of Taker, but we see him around. Cena too. We don't see Stone Cold anymore on WWE TV.  And if he's gonna show up, Taker in sweats doesn't hit the same.  The gong does, but then when he's standing there looking ordinary, it felt.like he was doing them a solid and filling in at the last minute.

I get imagination shouldn't equal expectation, but not getting the glass shattering and SCSA  clearing the ring of the Bloodline and stunning Rock for one last oversell was a bummer.

How about special teams?  Anything mentioned about him?

Amazing.  You go from our last HC and DC which were both LBs and we lacked their entire tenure, or they couldn't find talent.  Now our new HC has peppered this roster with LBs.  :)

Six new LBs on the roster. Jamin Davis looks like the only LB returning. And if he doesn't pick it up, in a year, he could be gone too.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39773731/cavaliers-jb-bickerstaff-says-threatened-gamblers

Cleveland Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff revealed he received threats from gamblers last season and reported it to the NBA.

While being asked Wednesday night about sports gambling following comments made by Pacers All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, who said he sometimes feels like a "prop," Bickerstaff said gamblers contacted him.

"They got my telephone number and were sending me crazy messages about where I live and my kids and all that stuff," Bickerstaff said before the Cavs hosted the Miami Heat. "So it is a dangerous game and a fine line that we're walking for sure."

I'm sure Adam Silver would rather he not have mentioned that.  lol

Well, if Keim said it then he'd be in the know.  Josh Jones maybe. I really don't know but we will sign a LT vet, I would think.  We may wait for another cut to occur too.  Slim but possible.

Well, there's only really 4 pure starting LT options available and Leno is one of them. I mean, there's bodies out there, but most of them are RT or backup swing tackle types, like Cornelius Lucas, who is out there too.

Now, as you mentioned, there could be a cut.  We got Leno a few years back in May after the draft, I think.  But you're not really aiming high when you're waiting around for somebody.

Darrisaw would have solved the LT issue for a decade.  Not an obscure player.  An obvious pick.  but leave it to Ron with his "outside the box" thinking of taking a WLB who most thought would go in the 2nd round instead.

I always wondered how those decisions actually get made, in reality.  Because the college scouting staff that put together those draft boards is still there.  Peters probsbly wont make a bunch of changes there until after this draft.  So I highly doubt Ron had a room full of Darrisaw supporters and went and made a unilateral decision to reach for Jamin Davis there.

  13.

Looking at who they signed already, the glaring holes still left are starting LT, CB, WR.

I feel like there's at least 2-3 semi-big moves out there left to be had.  I think one of these top 2-3 free agent tackles comes here.  I think Fuller might wind up being back, because these corners ain't it that are on this roster at the moment.  And then a wild card, like trading for Tee Higgins and then paying him or something like that.  Factoring in money for the rookie pool, they still got like $60-something mil left.

Frankly, I need more competiton at left guard.  I'm not comfortable with automatically slotting in Allegretti as the starting LG.  A lot of folks assumed Wylie was moving inside, but there's been no rumblings that's in the plans right now.  And they're not signing people to facilitate that.  Signing a right and left tackle would work for me.

I think they focus on getting depth at LB and OL in the draft.  And WR if they have no appetite for getting Higgins, or Williams or any of these WRs out there now.

I actually wouldnt hate Williams as a swing tackle. But he wont do that. And I hope that's what Wiley eventually ends up being for us. I would cot count out resigning Leno once the results of his surgery come out either. They couldnt pay him 15 Mill plus with his age and that injury. But if he comes out healthy they may be able to resign him for less.

From a swing tackle perspective, I'm not opposed to bringing Lucas back. I always felt that if he had to play, I wasnt particularly concerned about it. If he was in the game, he'd be adequate.
