  1. Okay, in retrospect, this is spoiling FYI. Stop being cute. Don’t do it again please.
  2. Did Atlanta really need to give up all that value to move up 8 spots for him?? Weird trade and pick imo
  3. Falcons don’t make the pick I expected. Lots of options for us at 36 and 40!
  4. ? you know they officially measure these guys at the combine right?
  5. It’s obviously unlikely but…is there a world where we would take both Dejean and Kool-Aid, if it weirdly fell that way? Just juice up the entire secondary?
  6. Damn it man. That’s who I wanted. Kool-aid or Dejean now? Edit: my stream hasn’t actually said the pick yet, I’m reacting to people in this thread. Are people spoiling?
  7. kid could show some brains and not immediately insult the respected dude that just spent the last 5+ years in the locker room with all the proven NFL players he’s about to step on the practice field with. That he’s proven nothing to. It was thoughtless
  8. lol RG3 was comparing prospects to characters from a popular anime cartoon called Dragon Ball Z. Why? No idea
  9. Pathetic piece of writing. Daniels might be lucky to be here, maybe we’re lucky to have him. As it stands right now we were bad enough to draft him, he was good enough to be worthy of the 2nd overall pick. It’ll all play out. But the sniveling unworthiness hinted at in this article is tough to stomach. Not to mention the snide, incorrect interpretation of the Ben Johnson situation. Also the part about acquiring a veteran WR to “microwave the process” is ****ing stupid. It’s a proven way to help the development of a young QB. This writer has strange hangups that they’re projecting into their writing, and lots and lots of references to Snyder-era viper pit idiocy (more understandable). I cringe at the idea of someone from Daniels’ camp reading this. In fact it reads like it was written by someone who didn’t really want him to come here, deciding to be magnanimous enough to give us a chance. The timbre of that entire piece is that we’re an amateur outfit, not good enough to deserve Jayden Daniels, who by all rights should have gone to a better franchise. Ignores a lot of what has happened in the last year of this franchise’s history and is frankly disrespectful. But most importantly implies that Daniels has earned some deferential treatment. Everyone has something to prove in this situation. Nobody in this organization has a reputation for throwing people under the bus, but people in Daniels’ camp do. Strange framing. If the vibe of this piece was supposed to be hopeful and “a second chance at salvation” (I assume RG3 was the first chance, in this writer’s estimation?) then it missed the mark. It’s extremely patronizing, in a wheedling, annoying way.
  10. This is the anecdote I was trying to remember and you explained my thoughts on it perfectly. The dude is a teacher’s pet and while he may end up a good NFL QB, his personality is some insufferable mixture of Russ and Kirk lol (ironically).
  11. He’s corny in a way that his teammates may resent, because he hasn’t earned anything in the league. Won a championship on a stacked college team and buys his own hype as a winner as he enters the NFL? Yikes.
  12. Retiring numbers is awesome, and should be regarded as the absolute greatest and rarest honor. It should be done far less. Imo we should only have Baugh and Green retired, but whatever. Sonny and Riggo would not qualify for me. Or Mitchell. I know people are understandably touchy about it, but not ST either.
  13. So the night’s sleep I prescribed didn’t help, I see
  14. We’ll have potentially many backups over the years, I hope they’re all great. That’s not why you’re attached to Howell. He didn’t work out, we have a new QB. I think it makes sense to not dwell on the guy who was bad
  15. May have dodged some bullets, if this metric actually means anything
  16. People still talking about Howell right now are sick. Get some perspective. Should be the furthest thing from your mind, appreciate the 3rd round pick we have instead and move on
  17. Vikings the year they took Cordarelle Patterson (who has since turned into a HOF level kick returner but was a massive bust for them—along with the other two 1st round picks they made that year I believe)
  18. The problem is the rest of that table was insufferable
  19. Terry will be 29 when the season starts. He’ll be aging out by the time Aiyuk’s bigger money kicks in if it’s structured well. It can easily be done without stressing the cap and keeping it healthy—we have no one to pay for a while, realistically. You can find a cheaper alternative in any round, technically. Sure. Someone as good, polished, and already playing at a pro bowl level—with built-in chemistry for your young QB? No. This isn’t Madden. It’s not always worth it to go for the young rookie contract 80 OVR player instead of the expensive young 90 OVR veteran. #1 priority has to be developing and maximizing your QB pick. Plenty of cap space to do that and not get in a bad spot.
  20. Interesting. Means nothing ultimately, but interesting
