  1. Yeah I don't get it. A team destined to be knocked out of the first round every year..

"Washington hasn’t made it past the second round since 1979. This isn’t an organization that can rely on history to guide it."
  2. Its simple. We are jealous that they got their name back almost immediately, and we are stuck with wizards. Its not fair i tells ya.

    That's exactly what it is.

The Jazz have the fifth highest franchise winning percentage in the league. Since 83-84, they've only missed the playoffs six times. They're one of the best franchises in the league.

The Pelicans were relevant when they were in Charlotte and during the Chris Paul era after they moved to New Orleans. And they're going to be relevant again now that they've got Anthony Davis. They're a quality franchise.

    t.

I was talking about irrelevant teams 'now'.
  3. Sure. But at least they've been relevant at one point.

Hornets were relevant when they had the Big 3 and were selling out every year and were the top merchandise seller, next to the Bulls.

    They'll be relevant again.

Edit: I meant basketball in Charlotte will be relevant again with the Hornets name.

    The Bobcats/current Hornets are not.

...said the Wizards fan. Who haven't been relevant since 1978.
  5. Hornets are not close to the most insignificant NBA team. Their merchandise is already selling like hot cakes. Just imagine once the season starts.

We also got the nicest uniforms and court. Just gotta get another big time player or two to help out Big Al.

    #BuzzCity

New Orleans Pelicans or Utah Jazz are easily the most insignificant teams, imo. Feel sorry for Davis and Hayward.

  6. That's insane. People are iffy on giving Greg Monroe a max deal even though he's at least as good offensively and he's 7 feet tall. If Heyward gets a max deal, his agent should win an ESPY.

    It is "Hayward", guys.

And he's a baller. He will get his money somewhere.

  7. At least he doesn't have those hipster glasses anymore

    Irving

    Wiggins

    SF

    Bennett

    C

    Not bad

    Bennett has done nothing.

**** you Kings! That's who I was hoping we would take at #9.

    Yep. Same here.

Not going to lie, I've never seen Vonleh play.

Classy move what they just did for Austin. That poor kid.

It was. Silver is great. He can do no wrong.

What a ****ing dumb looking suit. Hurry and sign so you can buy a new one.

I just saw that suit. WTF?!?!

Did Russell Westbrook pick that out for Wiggins?

WTF!!!?!?!?! Why in the blue hell would we help out the ****ing Miami Heat?

It worked out though. They ended up with Hairston at 26.
  8. LeBron opting out doesn't help Miami. It probably means they'll have to pay him a 35% max deal now. Or it means he's leaving, which would devastate them.

I don't think LeBron leaves. But if he does, you're right. It absolutely negatively effects his legacy. His legacy was already negatively impacted by leaving in 2010. If he leaves a second time he will be forever remembered as a mercenary and NBA vagabond.

I'm not a LeBron fan by any means, but I don't think him going to Miami negatively affects his legacy. Nor do I think him leaving Miami would. You have to look at the two things separately.

To me, the only thing he really messed up was the stupid decision thing. That was a clown show.

  9. Where are they going to find the cap space?

I read a story the other day that it would be from the contracts of Jordan, Barnes, and Granger. That somehow they could free up enough space to land LeBron.

A couple guys on ESPN were also discussing the possibility the other day. However, one of the guys, might have been Legler, was saying how Paul and James weren't a good fit.

  10. hahahaha...Dirk better than Kobe.

That is simply absurd. Dirk did have some help, he was not alone in his championship.

Some of you need to watch games and not numbers. It's so crazy to me.

Dan Marino with zero rings is one of the top 5 QBs to ever play the game.

Completely agree. It's absurd. I think people get carried away with advanced stats these days.
  11. Anybody who says AI is overrated is full of it. The team he took to the Finals isn't even a playoff team without him. NBA MVP, 2 time NBA All Star Game MVP, perennial all-star, future hall of famer, recently got his number retired. Yeah, he's overrated.

Aren't you a Sixers fan? Lol

What is his career FG %. What about assist to turnover ratio? And he was a liability on defense. Dude was absurdly overrated.

And lol@ "All Star Game MVP".

God yes, Reggie Miller. That's my vote. I wonder if he's a HOFer without Spike Lee

    That's an excellent choice.

I mean I could possibly see AI but dude took a team to the finals by himself. That has to count for something.

Until he recently got the post game working, I would have said Blake in a heart beat

Dude the NETS went to the Finals around that time!

  12. I of agree with GAC and Steve that LeBron has come closer to Jordan than Kobe.

Still, anyone that says Dirk is greater all time than Kobe has been eating paint chips.

Duncan over Kobe? Now that's a great debate.

  13. Dig the new unis for the Hornets..

Paul Lukas (@UniWatch): Love the Hornets' new home uni. Not as fond of the road or alternate. My analysis will be on ESPN shortly. http://t.co/N1cULlsycg

Yeah man, I think they did a good job with them. Only thing I don't like is not having "Charlotte" on the road jersey.

They're sharp. Then again, I could be a bit biased.
