You called, or at a minimum insinuated 100 Pirate losses.
A month, sig bet.
I was being sarcastic in that post. While they won't lose 100 games, they will almost certainly lose 90+. Really, what's the difference?..:pfft:
More *crickets and weed* with BS in the tailgate for the last 25 minutes plus. I'm going to bed. Hopefully he'll sack up, or shut up by morning.3x Yer little Heyward's bombs. Sorry dude. Baseball = numbers.
Surely you're not saying the Jones kid has more upside than Heyward?
I think I'll enjoy rooting for Garrett Jones in about six years.....lol Exactly!...Don't know why hog is getting excited over a player that is certain to be gone in a few years.

2-0, Pittsburgh Pirates.
How bout that bet, Bubble Screen?
*crickets*
*tumbleweed*
Garrett "GI" Jones the early front-runner for National League M...V...P!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uh, the Braves are also 2-0. And unlike the Pirates, we're going places.

Yeah, you get it free for a week
Wish MLB.TV would have some kind of free package, I'm listening on MLB audio package. I do believe radio is better though, all the legends do radio and all the young kids do TV (with exception of Scully)
There are some TV guys who are alright though, I like Len Kasper of Cubs
Anyway what is so bad about JS? I remember hearing about phenom last year and then he faded away. Was he a bust?
Schafer probably wasn't quite ready last year. He had an incredible first game last year. Then basically did nothing. But I've heard that his wrist was part of the problem. Who knows. I cooled on the guy after he got busted for HGH, or whatever. I wish they could have traded him.

Found out a few hours ago that im getting free MLB Extra Innings...Life is good!

I remember thinking this exact same thing after the Phillies opening series last year :ols:
Heyward ROY no doubt now
The Braves didn't hit like this vs the Phils in that series. And Heyward isn't another Jordan Schafer.
O wow Samardzija just gave up a 3 run double to Yunel Escobar. I forgot he switched over to baseball. He looked awful today.
Escobar breaks Braves game WIDE openYeah, baby!!
Hinske with the triple!!! I love the first week of the Braves season.Off to a great start, no doubt. And I know there was no pressure on him today, but Billy Wagner looked outstanding. Fastball was consistently hitting 97. And that slider was just filthy!
Yeah game over  Horrible pitching = FAIL. The cubs will win more games than they will loose when they score 5+ runs, but if they are going to pitch like garbage it will be a long year.umpires already making me angry with blown calls as well. ARGH!!! That Byrd fly to center hit the ground. Dangit!
In the end, that drop by Mclouth had absolutely no bearing on the outcome. But yeah, pretty bad that they even checked with the other umpires, and none of them saw it bounce on the ground.

Bucs win, 11-5.
And there was noooooooooooooooooooooo doubt about it! [/Lanny Fraterre]
:point2sky
Win 1 of 62?...:pfft:

Brian McCann HR!!! lol....so much for the Braves not having an offense!

Jason Hey-ward!!

I love baseball season. There is nothing like going to the ballpark on a summer evening and watching a game. I can't wait!
I completely agree. Unfortunately for me, the nearest one is over 3 hours away.
Baseball isn't my favorite sport. But its my fav to watch in person. Like you said, nothing beats a night (or day) out at the ballpark.

He can say all he'd like to me, but the Braves aren't even going to sniff the playoffs.
Yeah, ok. Many are picking them to be in the wildcard hunt. Therefore, your statement seems kinda silly. You're simply uninformed. They had one of the top pitching staffs in baseball last year. And this year will be no different. If some of the newcomers like Glaus, Heyward, and Melky produce, this team could even give the Phillies a run for the division. And don't forget the Cox factor. Being its his last year, his players will definitely go all out for him.
Braves might raise some eyebrows, I was on the Braves won't sniff playoffs bandwagon last year and I was uneducated and I was certainly proven wrong. They are a good team.Heyward, Hanson, Kawakami, and the rest...they came so close to making the wild card last year, this year I think they get it done.
I don't know about Chipper though, that guy used to be elite. BS how do you feel about Chipper this year, will he be elite
Chipper just had a bad year last year. It happens to the best of 'em. Plus he had his usual nagging injuries. As long as he's in the lineup, he's gonna produce. That's always been the case with the guy. He will have a solid season.

I don't see how the Red Sox can't win the AL east this year. Best pitching in baseball.
Bobby Cox would like a word with you.

Since Bubble Screen seems to be passing the buck on this one, I'll post what he noted:
Thread: "When did it start becoming acceptable for male athletes to pat each other's butts"
Totally forgot to post it. Thanks.

1. Ravens: Beast D and decent O
2. Redskins: Beast D learning O
3. Panthers: Always tough but beatable
4.Cardinals: has trouble with the NFCE
5.Packers: always tough
6. Texans: alot of up and commers
7. Dolphins: only wins with trickery, will have trouble with the pats and Bills all season.
I think all the hype about the NFC South being as tough as the East will be gone after this season yeah that have some good teams but I dont see them competing well with the BEast!!!
As much as I love my Redskins, no way are they second among those teams. Not with our offense. Stop being a homer. Based on what, exactly? The Panthers (as much as it pains me) and Cards are ahead of us. They both made the playoffs. And neither team really lost anyone. Each will likely win their division again. The Redskins, at best, are 4th. They just are. Now hopefully the offense will get its act together and prove everyone wrong.:cool2:

Rank these teams.
Texans
Panthers
Cardinals
Redskins
Packers
Dolphins
Ravens
1. Ravens
2. Panthers
3. Cardinals
4. Redskins
5. Packers
6. Dolphins
7. Texans

Then look for ticket prices to go up at least ten percent....
There should be 18 games. 16 reg + 2 preseason.
-
I can't believe im saying this. But the Redskins probably need to consider updating their uniforms. Especially the pants. Pretty bland. I know that goes against tradition and all. But other teams, like the Giants, have done it. Per the Just For Men commercial: "Its time".
-
WTF?!?!? It's happened more than once???
Also, BS you'll be happy to know I'm going to see the Braves at Nationals Stadium this week  (you are the Braves fan, right??)
Yup....And im not kidding about the jersey thing. It has happened before. Unless those pics you showed were from last year.
Anyway, have a great time at the game.

I think the "O" is under the button.
It is still a fail though...poor designing.
No, I remember this actually happened at least once last year. I think they may have been playing the Braves. I remember the announcers were making fun about it.

I had to LOL at ice ice baby!
The Asteroids one is pretty clever, too.

Overreact, much? You were right the first time: its only been one game. Several good pitchers got off to rocky starts. Zambrano got absoultely torched on opening day vs my Bravos. Does he suck, too? Relax.
