  1. ^^

So you're the only one that drives the car that has a problem? :)

But seriously, though, I hope someone is able to detect what the problem is. Like you, I know very little about cars, so I always feel like im getting hosed everytime I go to a dealership. Maybe you could start leasing a new car every few years? That way, the chances of something going wrong with it are pretty slim.

  2. That clown Jair is injured

Going to have to replace him in Fantasy, I'm doing horrible.

Clown? That's a little harsh. Guys get injured. Its a part of the game. Why not just insert Kris Medlen in his slot? Hell Medlen has pitched pretty damn good in Jurrjens' absence.

Better yet, is Tommy Hanson available?

  3. It's a bit difficult when we don't get all the facts, AND we don't have the vehicle in front of us to be able to carry out a full diagnostic check.

Those of us trying to help are only doing so by way of the info you give us.

'Hyuk, I gots me a truck that won't start. What's wrong?' Where do we start?

The more info we get, the better advise we can give. It also helps if it is your own vehicle, not someone else's who mentions the fault to you, then you post it here.

Friend to you - 'I clipped a kurb last night and it flattened a tire and bent the rim. When I got going again, I noticed a vibration from the front, and it was pulling to the left. What's wrong with my car?'

What gets posted - 'Steering wheel is not centred. What could be wrong?'.

    See my point?

    Dude, I was sorta joking.:pfft:

And yeah, my problem wasn't easy to dissect, given what information I gave. Its all taken care of now, though. No worries.

  4. OK, Skip Bayless just proved he's on drugs. He said that he'll take Ryan Howard over Albert Pujols. Skip actually said that Howard is more clutch. Did he not see last years World Series? I like Howard, but he strikes out way too much for my taste, even though his strike outs have been down this year.

I find it amusing that folks haven't figured out yet that Bayless is a moron. He's also on the Tebow bandwagon. Go figure. He's entertaining. But he's way off on alot of stuff. Sometimes I think that is by design.

  5. Not saying this is the issue with the car, obviously, but it's something to consider that those Nissans are known to have a few engine harness problems. One of the coolant sensors can leak through the sensor, into the connector and into the wires, corroding the harness. One of my co-workers had this happen on his early 2000s Maxima, had to replace the whole engine harness....not fun or cheap. Obviously I would start by checking the all the normal stuff, filters, plugs, plug wires, ect, just thought I'd throw that one out there.

Btw, anytime the ignition is on and the engine is not running the oil light and check engine light SHOULD be illuminated and aren't a concern. If the engine's running and they're on, that's something to look at but them coming on with the engine off/key on is just a normal check to make sure that the warning light itself is working. Check the spark plugs and (if it has plug wires rather than coil on plug, not sure with that car) spray the plug wires with some soapy water. If they're arcing, the soapy water will cause it to start stumbling and misfiring.

Well supposedly the issue is the cam crank sensor. Gonna cost me a pretty penny.

Edit: They also found a leak with my radiator. Just great.

  6. When were the plugs last changed?..they are relatively cheap to replace

Rather hard to diagnose w/o seeing is what I meant:)

Its actually my gf's car. So im not sure when she last had them changed. But don't the Maximas around that year have those expensive ones that you don't change that often?

  7. On my way home from work last night, I was stopped at a redlight. All of a sudden, I noticed my car had cut off. I look at the dash and I noticed the oil light, as well as the check engine light were on. So anyway, I try and start my car. It wouldn't start. I wait a few seconds and try again. This time it starts up (hesitantly). I then proceed home, which was less than 5 minutes away. On the way home, the car seemed to drive normal. And there were no oil light or check engine lights lit up. I get home, and pull it into the garage. I checked the oil. The oil level appeared normal. Also, I had my oil changed at the dealership about a month or so ago. And I noticed that when they were putting the oil in they must have spilled some, as it was sprayed all over different parts of the engine. Not sure if that matters or not.

Does anyone have an idea of what my problem could be?

  8. He was still available?! Almost every draft I did people were taking him in the top 50.

I don't play fantasy games where there are drafts. Can't stand them. I play in one over at espn. I was one of the top players in it the first week until the Braves lost 17-2 last Monday. (had the Braves pitching staff)

  9. A lot of great pitchers have never thrown no hitters. A lot of pretty average to mediocre pitchers have. A lot of a no hitter is just luck anyway.

If you would have seen the catch the Rockies CF made late in the game you would have really appreciated this one. I'm a Braves fan. But you have to tip your hat to Jimenez tonite. He was awesome. Still was throwing 98 mph to the last batter! And don't be fooled by the 6 walks. He was in complete control in this one. The walks never really came close to hurting him at all.

*A sidenote. I actually picked the Rockies over at SFTC. And I've never once gone against the Braves.

  10. Javy can't handle New York. We learned that the first time. That's all.

He'll be fine when he pitches against the Royals, just like he was fine last year when he pitched against the Nationals, Mets, and Pirates.

Carlos ain't looking to good today either, but unlike Vazquez, I like him, so I let it slide.... :)

From the time he first was with the Yankees to this go around are too entirely different circumstances. Then, he was one of their main guys, if not their ace. The stage did seem to big for him at the time. However, he's now the Yanks' 4th starter. There's not near the pressure on him, as before. You're jumping the gun here. Like you already stated, its been one start. Relax. If at the all star break, he's 4-8 or something, then you can let loose.
