Yeah, he was just on First Take. He said that is the reason he would wait until Feb. And he's right, Love will still probably be available then.I think if you're the Cavs, you have to at least see what you have in Wiggins. There was a good article Simmons wrote on Grantland about it.

No he's (Klay) involved in trade talks because he's the most available trade option the Warriors have that the Timberwolves want.I may be in the minority, but I'll go out on a limb and say that in 2 years porter will look more attractive than klay. Guy is money from mid range. Releases at the top of his jump with 7'+ wingspan. Has good bb iq. Plays good defense. Is terrific at moving off the ball. Isn't afraid to rebound with the big boys. And above all, knows when a bad shot is a bad shot.
Klay and curry have the green light to bomb it from anywhere on the court. They will never win that way. Klay is only as good as his shot says it is, which varies depending on which guy is guarding him. People were getting tired of that last season. It's why he is involved in trade talks.
( but yes, klay is currently without a doubt the better player.)
Edit: I haven't followed the Love trade discussions here lately. But, is it just me, or does it seem like the Bulls are only involved, so that they can drive up the cost it would take the Cavs to land Love? Because I really don't see any way the Bulls land Love. Especially with Gasol there now.

lol How did they have the upper hand in the Nats argument? Teheran leads EVERY Nats starting pitcher in the following categories:I follow the conversations and I try not to get involved in petty arguments, but when I feel the need to day something, I will. One thing I've never been is a homer. I don't think I agreed or disagreed about John Wall. I just feel they gave better proof as to why they feel he is better. Admittedly, basketball is probably 4th in ranking my sports knowledge on the 4 major sports.
I thought the Teheren argument was in the Nats fans favor until Hersh brought up some interesting stats to back up what you were saying that turned it in your favor, but prior to that, they had the upper hand.
.
ERA
IP
Fewer hits allowed
Fewer runs allowed
Fewer earned runs allowed
Fewer walks allowed
Opponents average
WHIP
Shutouts
Literally the only categories a Nats starting pitcher is beating Teheran in is strikeouts and HR allowed (15 to 14). Granted, there may be one or two more, but I stopped looking, as it was a COMPLETE was of time!

Well, you're being roasted in here and in the MLB thread. I have to hand it to you, you tread water well. Hey man, nothing personal, as I've said before, you're an intelligent guy with some good sports knowledge. You know your stuff, but I just think you think you know more than you do. I know you can be a good poster who could debate with the best of them, but you let your ego get in the way of good sports talk. And please don't tell a 46 year old to "run along." That's disrespectful. I'm not a child.
Don't think I'm being "roasted" at all. I'm actually in the majority in both the Teheran and Irving discussions.
As for the run along comment. I apologize for that. But it gets old, you not following the conversations and just siding with the local team's fans (even though they are wrong in the eyes of most fans).

There are a LOT (probably the majority) of NBA fans that think Irving is a better player than Wall. But you would have thought I said Tyronn Lue was better than Wall, based on the responses I got.Right, us, who are actually using facts and data to back up our points are being non-objective. As opposed to "I watch ze games"...right.
The day someone comes in here and says Wall is better than Chris Paul, then we can start talking about insane homerism.
-
BOTWP:
I don't love to play the villain. I think it's just that a lot of people aren't objective and can't handle the truth.
I understand this is a Washington sports board, but not everyone is a Wiz or Nats fan (hell, YOU don't pull for either). And not everyone thinks Bryce Harper is the next Ted Williams, or that Wall is Isaiah Thomas. Heck, there are a lot of Redskins fans on here that think RG3 is on the level of Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson. Not, has the 'potential' to be as good. Right now, AT THIS MOMENT. And the Redskins and Wizards have been around for DECADES. You would think there would be a lot less of that nonsense with an established franchise (unlike, say, the Nats). I guess that's just how the younger generation of fan thinks, I dunno.
-
lolExactly! This thread is supposed to be about Michael Jordan

I was going off of espn's stats when I first posted that, months ago. Believe it or not, they only had 3 box scores listed. And I was assuming they were correct, forgetting they played 4 times. So how about you run along and stop making these same stupid responses in every thread.I just can't take Bubble Screen seriously. When talking about Charlotte vs Washington for the past few months, he keeps saying the Bobcats beat the Wizards 2 out of 3. Seriously? Any serious NBA fan first of all knows that division rivals play each other 4 times a year. Second, he doesn't even realize the Bobcats won 3 of 4. Seen him say it many times in here. Here are the results:
Jan 7- Wizards 97-93
Mar 12- Bobcats 98-85
Mar 31- Bobcats 100-94
Apr 9- Bobcats 94-88 (OT)
I've never seen one person in all of my life so desperate to prove himself to a bunch of strangers on a message board. BS, you gotta stop trying so damn hard. It's OK to be wrong once in a while. It's called bring human. You told me to chill in the other thread, but I think you should take some of your own advice. The internets aren't that serious bro.
Think about it. Don't you think if I had known (didn't trust espn stats) we had beaten the Wiz 3 out of 4, and not 2 of 3, that I would have posted it? C'mon.
-
Rondo should have replied: "really? you of all people, are going to critique someone else's job performance?"
-
^^ that was me the night Kyrie put a 41 spot on the great John Wall lol
-
What's your point? Irving had a down year and Wall, a career year. Yet their numbers were still similar. Stop whining. Irving is the better player. Move on.Wait, you are now using a 4-game sample size vs. an 82 game sample size and with a straight face trying to say it means more?
It is almost embarrassing for any of us to waste time arguing with you.
Irving-
20.8 PPG
3.6 RPG
6.1 APG
Wall-
19.3 PPG
4.1 RPG
8.8 APG
Note: I said "player".
-
Irving scored 41 and the Cavs couldn't win by double digits?
Hell he's never even scored as many as John Wall in a game.
Weak.
The Cavs were 33-49. The Wizards, 44-38.
I think we're done here.
-
I watch a lot of games. I specifically remember this one:Nah dude. Bubbles watched games. He saw Kyrie raining threes like Steve Kerr. Don't be a nerd.
Wall-
9 PTS
2 REB
12 ASS
Irving-
41 PTS
4 REB
5 ASS
Cleveland 103
Washington 96 F
lolololol
-
But..but.. Wall is such a great defender and makes everyone around him better!Really? Head to head? That's weak.
-
Irving vs Wall last season:
Wall-
19.3 PPG
3.5 RPG
10.0 APG
Irving-
26.8 PPG
3.0 RPG
7.0 APG
Did I mention the horrible Cavs with their 33 wins split with the mighty Wizards?
lmao
-
As usual, you have your facts wrong. And the cow said moo. GACOLB said yawn.
I don't know why you all waste your time. BS knows **** about ****. Classic hater. How many times do you think he's actually watched either Irving or Wall? All he knows is Irving scored a lot of points in the All Star game and points is good.
I don't watch one second of the ASG.
-
I already stated Irving is a better shooter/scorer than Wall. Sorry, I don't look at a bunch of nerdy advanced stats to back me up. I actually WATCH games.Do you ever use actual evidence to prove your points? It seems you solely rely on bloviating a bunch of nonsense.
Well, Wall's never played with anyone remotely close to as good as LeBron so yes, Irving's stats will look fancy this season.
Wall is no threat from outside. Teams don't respect his jumper. The fact that he shot the same % as Irving is irrelevant. He certainly wasn't scoring those points from the outside.
And, like I said, it is sort of important who you are playing with. Put Irving on the Wiz and Wall on last year's Cavs. You think we are having this conversation? Puh-leeze!
People= homer Wiz fans.A lot of people did.
-
Have you seen the rosters Wall has played with before last year?
That's my point!
Before last year, NO ONE felt Wall was better.
-
No, I already believe he is better. I'm just saying, you Wiz fans will see the truth once he has talent around him.So in other words, you have no concrete evidence to back up your assertions
That's what I thought.
-
Irving has been surrounded by garbage, that's why Wizard fan doesn't think he's a better player.Ok. Other than being a better shooter what makes Irving better?
Serious question....
Trust me, we aren't having this conversation next summer.
-
No, he's not.Wall is better than Irving. A lot better
<<< not a Wizards fan
<<< not a Cavs fan
-
i know right. Their starting unit isn't even as good as last year.Wait Pierce is a starter ? haha.
"Probably"? lmaoAnd yeah, the Heat probably would have won the series, but I don't think it would have been as easy as you think. And we won the first game vs Charlotte. Y'all won the last three.
-
Only because the Heat rested their starters and you finished one game better than Charlotte. Let's keep it real, bruh.Doesn't really matter.
All I know is the Wiz advanced to the second round while Charlotte was swept in the first.
-
ML, regular season records mean nothing. You guys would have won no more than a game vs the Heat (if that). I'm quite confident in that.
