Its interesting that most players claim they want to be on a playoff team and get to a Super Bowl. But in reality they just want a huge payday and they don't care which
team gives them the huge contract. Take Sweat for example, yes he gets paid big bucks but he is never going to win a championship playing for the Bears. Both the
agent and the player just want the money from any NFL team that will give it to them. Yes, they play a violent sport and injuries can change their career outcomes so
they are not guaranteed a 15-20 year career. I don't think Young will get a big contract from the 49ers so if he becomes a free agent his representative will contact
all the teams to see which one is dumb enough to pay big bucks for his client. Show me the money is the rallying cry of most players these days. Its hard to get
players to work as a team when they want to make big plays and get lucrative offers once they become free agents. I hope we can sign Curl to a long term contract
but who knows what will happen. We also need competent offensive linemen. Maybe we can poach some veteran linemen from teams that won't make the playoffs
and who are looking to trade off players they know they will not sign to larger contracts next year. I would look at the Raiders and New England rosters for example.
I do not buy jerseys any more too. Will fans still wear Sweat's jerseys to games now? I doubt it. I know I would not wear a Chase Young jersey now. I need to donate
my Kirk Cousins and Gus Frerotte jerseys to a thrift store.
