I pray to God that none of these designs are actually used by the team.

Wow. That was truly hideous.

I love the fact that our unis are pretty much old-school. There's none of this sissy swooshy stuff, no unusual swoops from the armpits down onto the pants, no weird "antennae" on the helmets where the stripes are supposed to be, no "conceptual" crap cluttering things up.

They're simple, strong and to the point. Why let graphic and fashion designers give input to our unis? They're supposed to elicit respect and fear from our opponents, not the urge to order a half-caf latte.

I love the unis that look like football unis (Skins, old Jets, Packers, old Pats pre-Elvis, almost any throwback except Jets (Titans) and Iggles (pukey pastel blue/yellow), Browns, KC, etc.).

I hate any unis that make the team look like roller-derby or jai-alai contestants (Titans, Broncos, Pats, Bengals, etc.).

This is football not ballet. If a uni is not going to be enhanced by a mud stain and a piece of turf sticking out of a player's facemask, it doesn't belong.

Where's the maroon and black?

I liked the early '70s uni then, I'd love it again now. Once in a while we'd need to see burgundy pants/white jerseys, but not often.

Since the 2006 season is about to start, I'd like to propose a uniform change for next season.

Let's get rid of the 'white' uniform, and bring back the Burgandy & Gold.

Here are my proposals:

Home Games: Burgandy tops, with Gold Numbers/Names, Gold Pants with Burgandy stripes on each side of the pants seam. Helmet: Gold Helmet with Burgandy "R" surrounded by Burgandy circle of feathers, with Burgandy stripe down center of helmet - i.e.; "Lombardi Helmet."

Away Games: Gold Tops, with Burgandy Numbers/Names, Burgandy pants with Gold stripes on each side of pants seam. Helmet: Burgandy Helmet with Gold "R" surrounded by Gold circle of feathers, with Burgandy stripe down center of helmet.
