  1. Ooooh! Heaven is a place on Earth. Except TX of course. That is where the Cowboys are.
  2. This is the point I was trying to tell me wife as well. You are telling me that the people who are born in a part of the earth that were not touched by any people of the book and that God is going to put them in hell because they don't believe in Jesus or Mohammad or Moses. How can God who loves his children would do that to people of no faith. You are telling me that God who is compassionate and merciful and forgiving will do that to his creation. We are not talking about handful of people either. In these books who doesn't believe will go to hell, so to speak. That would mean billions of people will be put in hell. This is the part of the religion that doesn't make any sense. The Egyptian worshiped the Sun because it gave them warmth and made things grow and that meant they had food to eat and survive. They started worshiping the Sun because it would disappear at the end of the day and they didn't know where it went. So when the Sun would come up they assumed it is all the worshiping they are doing and is keeping the Sun alive so to speak. The ancient Egyptians believed that it was important to recognize and worship these gods and goddesses so that life continued smoothly. Again, fear of the unknown. We know better today. Well at least some do. The human brains continues to develop and becomes more creative and smarter. What does a man wants? Power, money and land and the ability to control people and have followers. This is all that is to it. Everyone wants it. People invented ideas and ideologies to acquire it. It still is happening today. I believe that maybe 10-15 generations from today the people will realize that religion is outdated and it will go away. Back in the day you couldn't Google to get your answers. Today you can. It will make the next generations better informed. One can be nice to others and do the right things without being religious. Religion was created to teach the people the way of life and answer some questions about the unknown. As humans we need to have the feeling of belonging to something and to have a cause so that we can say we did something on this planet before we go to either heaven or hell. Religion provides people with a cause and self worth. I broke away from this sheep herding mentality couple of years ago once I started to do some research. I am glad I did.
  3. Blocking people is now your new religion...lol Since you are not God you can't like your own posts.
  4. This is my belief: I was born without a religion. I was bestowed the religion of my fathers and mothers 7 days after I was born. I follow the religion of when I was less than a second old into this world. My wife is very religious and is teaching all the kids about the faith. I sit quietly and let them be. She doesn't bother me and I don't bother her. I still do religious stuff with her and the kids. We have been married for almost 21 years. My wife still loves me and trusts me. My wife and my kids: That is the most important and the only religion for me.
  5. I have 3 kids. The 1st one was a honeymoon baby but the other two after my son were planned to be born before school starts. I wanted to make sure none of my kids missed a school year because they were born in Oct or Nov. So my kids have a Aug 2, 3 and Sept 3 birthday. Was really going for the July 3rd baby for the last one but I guess I missed the boat by a month...lol. All my kids are born exactly 4 years apart (planned that way). If you have 3-4 years difference between the kids then the sibling rivalry will be less and they will be fighting less over the same toy or clothes or friends. Learned that in child psych class. This distance also gives the parent to give proper attention to each kid at a time. I started training my kids at the age of 9 months to not touch something on the table by teaching them the word hot and no. I would say hot and make a blowing sound at the same time like I am blowing the flames away. For the more persistence kid I would give them a slight tap on their hand and say no while shaking my head at the same time. This worked on all the 3 kids (my girls were a lot easier to train). The boy was less willing to listen but then my wife would give him the mean mom face....lol If one parent is disciplining the kid then the other parents need to just sit still and let the process to finish. The kids would come to me with a sad face after being in martial mom court...lol... I would tell them mom loves them and that they have to listen and follow the rules. So we did the good cop and bad cop bit. It worked for us. My kids are the most behaved and disciplined kids you will ever meet. Even today, they are now 19, 15 and 11, they will do whatever you tell them to do. For example, if my son is in the basement on his PS4 and I or my wife calls him for something he will put his game on pause (even if he is playing online with his friends) and come upstairs even if it just to get us some water. We just bought him iPhone X the other day. It is a small price to pay to have kids that respect their parents and don't talk back to them. The girls are the same way as well. I want to be clear that my kids are not spoiled. We gave them everything they needed and not what their friends or cousins had. Their grades determined what they can get. We don't pay our kids for doing chores around the house. We raised them and fed them and changed their diapers. They owe us now so to speak... lol and they know that because they will get everything they want and more but on our terms. You can't let your child have their ways. They will pout and cry and you have to let them for a few minutes. Trust me, they will stop crying once they know that crying is not getting them what they want. The one time you give in to shut them up they have won and you have lost forever. It does gets a little easier as they go over 6 years. You can reason/teach with them on a higher level. Their demands now cost more...lol You still have to set a bar for that as well. We have never punished our kids by taking away their devices or sent them to their room for mis-behaving. Teaching them was more important to us. I believe if a kid knows that if they mis-behave then they will just go to their room and sit alone for a while. In their minds it is a small price to pay and they just get to be alone for a while. I have seen some parents fail because, they for whatever reason, give up too easily in the discipline department. I see these parents in stores when their 3 years old tells their mom to **** you. The mom was so embarrassed but the kid kept on saying the F word. In my house freak (the actual word and not ****) was not even a good word to say. I would say freaking and the kids would run to their mom and say "Dad just used the F word" lol My wife would say please don't say that word and give me a mean look. This told the kids even dad gets disciplined. You have to be democratic and not authoritarian or too loose. If you are too strict then your kid will rebel. If you are too easy on them they will walk all over you and own you until you kick them out of the house. These are just some examples and I can go on for a long time but in the end not every advise will work on every kid. Each kid is born with their own set of stubborn genes. You will need to try a little harder to reset that gene. It will take a lot of patients to do that though. Happy Parenting.
  6. She doesn't care much for how the TV looks. She hardly watches TV. So it is really up to me but the accountant on the other hand is not going to budge..lol. So with that in mind 7 or 9? These two are at least in her price range/budget. The ironic part of all this is she doesn't even work and it is my money that she has total control of....lol.
  7. Does anyone own a series 7 or 9 QLED TV? Is it worth it to go for the 9. I will be buying the 75" TV. I would rather get OLED but my wife gave me a very bad look when I told her the price...lol
  8. Oh I know it is all about money and it is very sad indeed and the right thing is only used as a scapegoat. This happened at my daughter's school yesterday. http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/clarksburg-high-school-student-arrested-for-having-gun-at-school She was scared to go to school today. As a parent it is very tough to even think what can happen to your child or any child for that matter. I wonder if this has had happened to every lawmaker would they have changed their mind/stance on gun control? What if Trump's youngest child was in that school would he had sung a different tune than just saying these people only need mental help?
  9. I am pretty sure I said the same thing when I said guns are not going anywhere. Guess I should have said because of the rights the people have here. I wasn't talking about culture. It is the right as you pointed out changes the playing field. Yes. So true. You would think after Sandy Hook things would have changed a lot but the 'right' and the 'freedom' will always get in the way of protecting innocent people from getting killed.
  10. Guns will not go anywhere. Guns will still be bought by sane people before they come insane. There is no real human solution for this. The human mind is complex. One could be happy one day and have a total breakdown the next day. Having a gun next to them is always a dangerous out. Too bad these people just lash out on everyone else rather then just quietly going away without anyone noticing them. How much does social media and instant news play a role in these types of killings? Probably even motivates the already depressed mind who has already chosen a suicide for themselves. The fame factor has to be there. Don't think we had these types of killings 35 years ago. Regardless, it is still very sad. Valentines day for the families and friends of individuals that died yesterday will not be the same anymore for rest of their lives.
  11. @TK So how did your pregnancy go? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/review/R2D5PRYTT7TDJ2?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl Customer Review 5.0 out of 5 starsjust great! By TK on October 1, 2007 Format: DVD|Verified Purchase I wish I ordered this workout in the beginning of my pregnancy. It is light, but strenuous workout. Not short, not long, just right.
  12. Ah. Have you looked into Google cloud print services? Would that type of setup work for your environment?
  13. You did say you were handed this project. One has to assume you are a junior IT. I have been working on computers/programming since the Commodore 64 days. I have my own IT company. I have setup quite a few networks from scratch which also includes pulling cables and terminating them. I do it all. By the way, it really doesn't matter to me what size the company is or how much they are making. So, why not just get Papercut or your IT dept. really wants you to build one?
  14. At this point I am going to stop helping you. If you want help then you have to be nice to others. I was trying to understand your network and then help you beyond the links or point you into the right direction. Goodbye.
  15. What version of server are you guys using? The same procedure still works today. See this: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731368(v=ws.10).aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 Also see this: https://www.technig.com/install-and-configure-print-server/
  16. In your guest network look for allowed IP address section. Add the IP address of the network printer. That should do it.
  17. Did you read some of the comments below that article? There is a security risk in how the servers are accessed by a non-admin user. I will still try it just to see what in Hawaii all this about.
  18. You are most welcome. No need to pay me I am just glad you got it all sorted out. Do you still need help on the AD sync with o365?
  19. 1. DISABLE and then the user(s) will be purged after the retention policy days have expired > Disable-Mailbox danj - Don't use delete user as it will also delete the user from AD. You can also disable using EAC. - You can purge the mailbox sooner if you like by doing this: >Get-MailboxStatistics -Database MBD01 | where {$_.disconnectdate -ne $null} | select displayname,MailboxGUID >Remove-Mailbox -Database MBD01 -StoreMailboxIdentity YourIDHere To remove all >Get-MailboxStatistics -Database MBD01 | where {$_.DisconnectReason -eq "SoftDeleted"} | foreach {Remove-StoreMailbox -Database $_.database -Identity $_.mailboxguid -MailboxState SoftDeleted} Note: Replace SoftDeleted with Disconnected depending on the state of the mailbox. 2. Remove mailbox db and public folder db (if you have one) - if you get any errors and you can't resolve it normally then my last ditch effort is always using AdsiEdit.msc to remove the mail databases. 3. Delete any hidden or arbitration mailbox. 4. Add/Remove exchange from server. Not sure why you are getting a run-a-round from MS on this. Hopefully this will point you to the right direction you were looking for.
  20. Yeah that could be true too. I wonder if they were doing this for the 1st time or Jay was gushing for the 1st time? Either way I thought it was pretty cool and so nice of Cooley to say I will bring it to you (and proceeds to say in a gif format...It's okay Cooley we know you are not tech savvy either...lol)! That sad part is I highly doubt Jay will take up on his offer. As an IT/tech guy I would be all of over that ****!
  21. On the Coaches Show today Jay was like I need to get this 3D breaking the plays thing (where you can rotate the field and zoom in and out and etc.) Cooley was like just call me and I can bring it to you after Jay said I would love to have this. Cooley said your brother doesn't even have one. I know Jay is thinking man I wish I had this tech when I am breaking down the plays for my players. How is it possible that a BILLION $ franchise can't provide the proper tools for their coaches to be successful? I know as an IT owner you are good as your tools regardless of how much knowledge you might have. Someone needs to get Jay the right tool to teach his students more efficiently.
  22. At the rate our injuries are piling up... all of them.
  23. If refs are not going see things correctly with all the tech in the world then they need to get rid of instant replay and challenges all together. Problem solved.
  24. One of the eyewitness said there were pauses between the gun fire. Some only few seconds apart but there was also a 30 second pause as well. Probably going between guns?
