  1. the problem with a HW TUF is that there just arent enough prospects to hold a show. remember they tried before, the only ones that emerged from that season were Rashad and Keith, and they both dropped down to LHW. Mir hasn't been the same since the motorcycle accident sadly. i don't ever see him competing for a title, which i why i'm pulling for Lesnar to have an exciting showing against Mir. If nothing else, Lesnar can add some spark to a division that badly needs it. i'll be praying to the high heavens that Nog defeats Timmay, i can't stomach another reign of Timmay refusing to take off his title. as for TUF itself, i think its shown itself to be more than amatuer fighters. sure the majority of the fighters on the show will never be anything of consequence, but they have produced a number of top 10 fighters. Jardine, Forrest, Rashad is just outside the top 10, and thats just the lightheavyweight division. Koscheck may be boring as hell, but he is still top 10. Diego was top10 before his losses.
  2. the "TUF fighter" argument is pretty much deaded with all the successes they have had :2cents: i just wonder how Sherk will react if he has problems taking BJ down. BJ has some of the best takedown defense in MMA. he stuffed Hughes, and GSP has to fight like hell to get him down. Both are stronger than Sherk, i think the fight only goes to the ground if BJ wants it to.
  3. for someone of great strength, Sherk doesn't have punching power. he's allergic to finishing fights
  4. that fight must happen you could make a reasonable argument that BJ won that first fight (i scored it for GSP but it was razor thin)
  5. 6 secs is the record i believe, heres the record: here's your sig: ^^^^^ I am responsible for teaching him that technique and since i'm in a good mood, you only have to rock the sig for 2 weeks
  6. Stevenson showed alot of heart no doubt, but it was evident he was simply against a fighter on a different level. Stevenson is young and will compete for the title again in the future, nothing but respect for him. that being said, he only landed one punch worth anything the entire fight. Penn dominated him today. Sherk got boo'd like hell by the crowd. if BJ shows like he did tonight against Sherk, i don't see sherk beating him, although it will be a close fight. i'll get your sig to you sometime later, gotta do some more searching since i can't let you go with the Romo sig.
  7. its all over!!!!!!!!!!!!! BJ Penn by complete domination
  8. whats worse is that he gets an immediate shot at the winner of tonights title match.
  9. wow Werdum just pounded out Gonzaga to finish him in the 2nd round 1 for ****ing 4 so far in picking fights. lmao
  10. in one of the prelims that they just showed, Paul Kelly got a UD over Paul Taylor in a pretty good fight overall. Kelly opened up a nasty cut on Taylor's dome from an elbow.
  11. at this rate, this will be the shortest UFC event ever everybody is gettin knocked the **** out Davis just flatlined Liaudin early in the first
  12. Lambert was pretty much dominating, but got caught with a vicious left hook in the 2nd by Gouveia and went nighty-night
  13. Jones/Trinidad tonight, some good undercard fights as well pay close attention to the name Devon Alexander, he'll be on alot of pound 4 pound lists in a few years. next to Amir Khan, he's probably the best young prospect in the game today.
  14. Penn's flexibility is ridiculous, seein him stretch on the preview show hurts me.
  15. yeah that would've been cruel and unusual punishment, i'll find something else for you to put in your sig once the inevitable happens
  16. like i said, i was goin to let you off easy, until you mouth wrote the check your ass can't cash  i don't want to limit it to MMA sigs only because the embarrassment won't be strong enough.
  17. see i was goin to let you off easy with a not so embarrassing sig, but then you started running your mouth  this will be your sig WHEN bj defeats stevenson: ^^^^It doesn't make me less of a man to admit i love Tony Romo.................and I hope he loves me to as for my picks for UFC 80: Kendall Grove vs. Jorge Rivera: after being KO'd by Cote, i look for Kendall to come out aggressively to prove he can still compete somewhat in the MW division. Rivera is good enough technically to make Grove work, but Grove should win this match Grove by TKO, 2nd round Jason Lambert vs. Wilson Gouveia: Lambert looked great destroying Babalu. Lambert has alot of talent, but can be inconsistent at times. That said i think he'll do enough to get a decision. Lambert by UD Marcus Davis vs. Jess Liaudin: Davis obviously has good hands, but his ground game is improving nicely as well. Liaudin is a tough fighter, but i think he'll make the mistake of trying to bang with Davis. Davis by KO, 1st round Gabe Gonzaga vs. Fabricio Werdum: their first fight was great, two different fighters now though. Werdum needs to be aggressive to gain some fans after his performance against Arlovski. Gonzaga will be too strong for Werdum i believe and catch him with something hard and drop him. Gonzaga TKO, 3rd round BJ Penn vs. Joe Stevenson: Stevenson only edge is in cardio, but BJ looks to be in tremendous shape. I like stevenson alot as a fighter, but i really don't see how he wins this fight outside of pulling BJ into the late rounds. BJ's takedown defense is too good for Stevenson. BJ has many more ways to win this fight. BJ by submission, 2nd Round
  18. that is a disturbing visual as for Roy Jones/Trinidad, i'll take Roy Jones in a comfortable unanimous decision.
  19. Double, i'm goin to quote every last one of your recent post and just laugh at them when Stevenson loses
  20. u goin be rockin a Spurrier sig for month
  21. welcome to the big boy table one month it is *time to go a sig-huntin*
  22. a week it is, although a real man would go at least 2 weeks  UFC is goin to be busy over the next month with 3 events Jan 19th - UFC 80 Jan 23rd - Ultimate Fight Night Live Feb.2nd - UFC 81 i'll drop my picks for UFC 80 (which history tells me are pretty much a lock to be wrong) after the weigh-ins
  23. de la hoya/mayweather is pointless other than filling out their pockets. mayweather will win, easier than he did in the first fight.
