  1. I don't know who was asked/who wanted to participate. Mine was just a general statement that they should all be working together. That is disturbing on so many levels.
  2. But how can you justify paying 5 times as much*** for a sign than you paid for your ticket????? ***I don't know how much poster board actually costs, but that's my best guess.
  3. Yea it is pretty annoying and frankly childish that people can't just get the **** over themselves and work together. We are all there for the same reason.
  4. As fans we obviously have little to do on the field, but I think we did as much as humanly possibly off the field to support the team last night.
  5. I certainly wasn't expecting to overcome the deficit last night, but I was disappointed that we didn't get more chances. Two keys to the playoffs for any team have always been to stay healthy and not shoot yourself in the foot. We suffered in this series from injuries, and over the last 2 series with red cards. And unfortunately Houston was just too good at home this year for home field advantage to really provide any advantage for their opponents in these playoffs. In the end I had a blast last night and I'm very proud of the progress this team made over the last 2 seasons. That said, this is absolutely the last year that they get a pass from me. This is a young team which now has a wealth of experience. With guys like DeLeon, Kitchen, Korb, Hamid, and Najar in the starting 11, going forward there are no excuses for not getting a 5th star on that jersey. Oh, and Pajoy needs to go.
  6. Haha, I guess that was the first game of this year.
  7. As of today there's only 1 regular ticket left on the supporters side of the stadium (but I don't think Barra/SE/DU/LN are sold out yet).
  8. Well United has their work cut out for them, that's for sure. All we can do is hope they get healthy and stay focused this week, and **** Houston up at RFK on Sunday!!!
  9. **** you Rafa Marquez. Thank you Conor Lade and Thierry Henry. See you this weekend, Houston.
  10. Not sure if they're going back, but positive they were pissed.
  11. 5 full buses going up again tonight. Give 'em hell!!!!!!!
  12. Love these guys: http://www.csnwashington.com/video_content_type/game-2-postponed-dcu-kicks-it-fans-new-york
  13. Everyone here knows I'm a huge proponent of the MLS but last night was a ****ing joke and embarrassment. 700+ DC United fans travel to New Jersey for the 2nd leg of home and away for which we earned home field advantage, only to be told 40 minutes after the game was supposed to start that the game was postponed. 1. How do you build a $250 million stadium and not purchase at least one snow removal machine? 2. You've known about this storm for at least a week, how did the team or the league not come up with a better contingency plan than 10 guys running across the field with shovels? 3. Could Major League Soccer's love affair with NY be any more disgusting?
  14. The shaky screen effect or whatever you call it is really annoying. Pretty cool otherwise though NSFW language warning, though!!!
  15. So many inexcusable issues last night. Najar needs to get his **** together. Pontius needs to to bury that PK, but he already knows that. Pajoy needs to not be starting for this team. Is there any more worthless starter in pro soccer right now? Constantly offsides, makes one pass then doesn't make the run he should, just adds nothing to our offense. I don't know who should be starting in his place, but I cannot believe that we traded away Danny Cruz who is nothing but hustle and all over the ball, and we end up with Pajoy and Long Tan. Great crowd last night, just really unfortunate that we appeared to have executed our away game plan and added so many mental mistakes to it. Nice pics, Skinz. Can you post them on FB so I can tag Josh on the fence? LOL
  16. We are gonna shoot for the small red box in skinz4life's map: Along the river, between Barra and District Ultras. I'll shoot you a PM. edit: and for what it's worth I'm 0-1 at DC playoff games. (Caps loss to the fliers a few years back) Hoping to even things up today!
  17. If you get there early you're welcome to tailgate with us!
  18. Nice! Better see you guys tomorrow then! Just look for my car (the Cobalt) somewhere along the river. We will be there starting 330.
  19. Probably an hour. Just don't stand in front of the drummers
  20. I was planning on 7. Josh said it was really bad last game though. If it's going to be as crowded as I hope it is, then I don't mind going in early to get good seats. We're getting to Lot 8 as early as possible, just might not be until 4 or 5 bc bsf has to work tm
  21. Haha, well we went to a game at Red Bull Arena a couple years back and had to do the bar thing before bc they don't allow tailgating in craptastic Harrison, NJ. It was definitely a different atmosphere. If DCU ever gets a new stadium, tailgate lots will probably be out of the question, too, if we get a stadium in DC which I hope we will.
  22. Bring the kid! You can throw him/her up in the air instead of your beer when we score
  23. Well you picked a good first game back 335 will put you right behind Barra Brava. I would definitely choose that over the other side of the stadium, unless you prefer the more family oriented atmosphere. You should come tailgate with us before the game too! Just shoot me a PM if you're interested.
  24. If you want to sit behind the supporters sections, yes Have you been to a game at RFK before? ---------- Post added November-1st-2012 at 10:10 AM ---------- We will have plenty of free beer to offer for your troubles ---------- Post added November-1st-2012 at 10:09 AM ---------- Saw an NHL player over in Europe was recently getting racial taunts. It's extremely disheartening and needs to be addressed by the respective teams and leagues.
