    Did anyone catch the Portland vs NY game on ESPN last night? Was a lot of fun to watch. Portland was down 3-1 but came out of halftime with a vengeance and scored two goals to tie it up 3-3. Could have easily scored 2-3 more if they were more technically sound. They were winning every ball in the air and on the ground. Wish Caleb Porter could have imparted some of that energy and fight on the U-23's in Olympic Qualifying. In other news, as far as ESPN is concerned NYRB are the only team in the MLS, and El Tri is our national team.

    Honestly it goes hand in hand. Building a better brand for US Soccer would help grow its popularity, which in turn brings in money, increased interest, etc. I'm not saying it's the chicken or the egg (we all know on-field success is the best brand booster), but I do think it's a component of success. Another component of that would be figuring out how to **** off CONCACAF's home team TV rights bull****.

    Definitely a branding fail. But can we wait until we get a crest/badge that wasn't designed for a U-9 team?

    Good luck on the bus. One of them always breaks down! Is the concert at South St Seaport? I went to a huge St Patty's Day party there a few years ago and it was really fun until they ran out of beer.

    I was disgusted when I saw ESPN commercials advertising their coverage of Mexico's road to Brazil. Such is life in CONCACAF where it's the host country that controls TV rights. Oh and **** espn. Joke of a channel now.

    I thought the Beckhams had said they wanted to stay in LA a few years ago but I guess things have changed. Now that mini Becks is old enough, I'm pretty sure they'd rather have him taking his shot at youth programs in Europe rather than sticking with the Galaxy.

    Starz was showing the subtitled version this weekend. That's what I watched. I can't imagine watching it dubbed. lol

    2011 A SWAT team becomes trapped in a tenement run by a ruthless mobster and his army of killers and thugs. boysetsfire finally convinced me to watch this after I DVR'd it last weekend and I am sure he would post a raving review if he wasn't stuck at ban camp, haha. The movie was extremely violent (I admit I covered my eyes a few times) and the plot was pretty standard, but I actually really liked it. The hand to hand combat was incredible, and Iko Uwais (Rama) was a ****ing beast.

    I think I saw you on tv yesterday... For real though, Oldham had lost like 7 of their last 8 and pulled out the win over Liverpool. Ouch.
