I’m all aboard the Shurmur train. Been interested since I heard he was out in NY but wasn’t sure he would take an OC position.
Rivera/Shurmur/Del Rio is a strong group of experienced, knowledgeable coaches who have gotten it done.
Yes because the one year starter who had 5208 yards, 55 tds, 6 ints at a wide-open offense at LSU is drastically better than the one year starter who had 4831 yds, 50 tds, 8 ints at OSU.
I'd have bottle ready in hand.
Although quoted it wasn’t directly at you. You are not the first on this board to write this but it never happened.
Young made the smart choice of saying he was undecided while preparing for the game.
It’s amazing how quickly the narrative changes.
Young had one quote that said he hadn’t decided on what he was doing next year (which was given while preparing for Clemson), and even backtracked on that statement.
It has now morphed on this board to him saying he was going back to OSU.
What I find interesting watching Sweat play was he was generally lined up as a 6-technique, which limited his athletic upside. He should be in a 9-technique much more with the Redskins which should allow him to utilize his speed and athleticism more.
Show me that list in August and tell me the Redskins would be 6-3 and I would have laughed in your face.
I think they’ve started practicing them, meaning they have 3 weeks to practice without counting against the 53 before Redskins have to activate to 53 or shut them down for the year.
Remember with IR, once a team elects to have a player start practicing, they can do so for two weeks before they have to decide whether to bring them off IR or shut them down for the year.
When Jay arrived, the team was putrid, with mediocrity being the goal.
Now, after losing the QB that helped get the team to mediocrity, the Redskins are 4-2.
All about perspective.
