  1. They guaranteed a lot of money for someone they don't trust.
  2. My point was we better like all 4 QBs at that point, because we would be getting the last of the top 4. I wouldn't be sad about the extra draft capital, but it's risky if you are assuming which guy falls to 4.
  3. If we trade back to 4, I'm assuming it's a 3 team shuffle with Arizona and Minnesota (maybe another QB needy team, but still someone that will take a QB). If that's the case, then Minny/other picks 2nd QB and Patriots are picking the 3rd QB most likely and we're settling for the last of 4. That would be bold unless they like all 3 really closely.
  4. I've always thought it was needed more for Side to side motion. So I would think it's important for a LB. So straight line activities like running are ok, but playing shortstop or tennis would be a big risk to further injury.
  5. Sorry to break it to you, but that was 2020 and it really happened... but that's forget all about that please...
  6. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-draft-green-room-players-left-will-levis-undrafted/hmjnudeusio0mdppxzacvoar I mean you could be right, but an invite is no guarantee. edit: super slow. But links?!?
  7. A big portion of what makes it so big is the bonus money already paid. The new team can't take money paid in the past and the values get accelerated to the original team. There isn't a way for the new team to take on cashed checks. Although looking here, there are lots on option bonuses that a new team could potentially take on. So the dead caps listed here are in the event of a cut. Maybe a trade wouldn't be as painful depending on the contract language. Second edit: The first option bonus triggers 3/22, so I think the 50.6 mill 2024 and 45 mill 2025 would become hit for the new team.
  8. Trying to find a historic equivalent, this is the closest I found from 2022. If no 3rd coming back, I could see 36, 78 getting to 22-24ish. Although that includes Philly and Dallas (and Minnesota's new pick) so may lower the chances for that. Maybe if Chargers get it they will pick with 11 and want to trade back from the 23... lots of options there.
  9. Add to it McKinney just got 4/$67 with $23 million guaranteed. Different players, but I'm sure that's part of the equation. If they keep doing the void years (which I'm not sure I'm a big fan of) they could get those numbers to be pretty reasonable. But it's a turn from the path they have taken so far.
  10. https://overthecap.com/free-agency/washington-commanders I think Cosmi has the current argument for next offseason, but not a crazy contract. There are several 1 year deal guys that could re-up and we may get arguments to the positive for St-Juste/Davis...maybe others. But there is still like 100 million in space next year depending on what happens next. Should be no concern if they want to keep anyone.
