  1. Probably, but still, that's not a good sign. We need to make a leap forward in development this year.
  2. I get your overall sentiment. We've been through this too many times to not have some trepidation concerning our hires. 2013 tells us all we need to know there. However, can we dispense with critque? Kyle Shanahan was just as involved in this debacle, and we would be tripping over ourselves if we hired him.
  3. Reading the retorts from Johnson’s camp, I had the same thoughts. I was involved in something where a lot of falsehoods were written that affected me, personally. We did not respond. It eventually died out and forgotten about. When you respond, it puts another log on the fire and puts it back at the top of the Twitter list. It will be very interesting how his interviews go next year. I still hope he stubs is pinky toe on the leg of the bed, every morning, for the next year.
  4. And when he does, he clearly states it's his opinion and it should be taken as such. Keim is a rarity these days--he cares more about being right than he does about being first.
  5. The only thing I worry about there is the lack of a run game. I don’t want to throw 50 times, especially with a rookie QB and questionable pass protection
  6. My concern with Klingsbury is how his offense would falter in the 2nd half of the season, like clockwork. A lot of factors can go into that, and Murray is a major diva. What was his offense like at USC, schematically?
  7. Yeah it’s not like people highly regarded and connected with the team, like John Keim for instance, haven’t been saying for WEEKS he was a legitimate candidate or anything. Clearly a Jim Zorn scenario
  8. He and Mike Wise had awful shows. Although Wise vitriol was more the soap box of the name. I wonder if he’s still championing Native causes?
  9. Did ANYONE really interview them? I know Smith got one and Kafka got one team each, but they weren't exactly hot names. Joe Brady would have been a real stretch, since he only became an OC when Dorsey was fired.
  10. Well, they did fire the GM, so there's that. And Wright is on the business side, so he likely had nothing to do with the record. Calling it a red flag is pretty reactionary. He's worked with Mayhew before, so Peters knows what he's capable of. Keeping him on is in no way a red flag. Likewise, we have no idea what their roles are behind the scenes.
